CD_Title : CD Label name will depend on the project. For example – prototype CD Label was “cg_lit10_g9” data : This folder contains 7 files, which are used in Click Thru Splash Screen.

tou.html – contains the Terms of use content

NOTE: The HTML code should be in 1 Paragraph i.e. without line break.

Permissions.html – contains the Permission info content

style.css – Cascading Style Sheet file using in HTML code.

ebook.ico – eBook icon file linked with Autorun.inf. fscommand : This folder contains 4 files, which supports in opening the exe & app.

iaccept.exe – Supports in opening the eBook application myPearsoneBook.exe.

iaccept.app – Supports in opening the eBook application myPearsoneBook.app

iaccept.bat – Batch for opening the eBook application myPearsoneBook.exe.

iaccept.scpt – Script for opening the eBook application myPearsoneBook.app

Click_to_start.exe: Click Thru License Screen exe Double click Click_to_start.exe to manually open the Click Thru Splash Screen.

Click_to_start.app: < APPLICATION FILE > Click Thru License Screen app Double click Click_to_start.app to open the Click Thru Splash Screen. autorun.inf : Contains: [autorun] open=Click_to_start.exe icon=data\ebook.ico

This .inf file is to be placed in root of CD-ROM, which helps to Click Thru Splash Screen to open automatically in PC. NOTE: The system should be autorun configured.

Ebook Project Folder: < FOLDER > Folder name depends on the project which should be inside Folder ‘title’. For example – prototype CD Label was “grade09” Files & Script related to Hybrid CD

(a) If you are a student, faculty member, or administrative employee who has received this Software from your educational institution for which this Software was obtained, except as otherwise described in (b) or (c) of this Section 1, you are accessing the Software pursuant to a single PC license.This single PC license permits you to use and display the Software on a single computer (i.e., with a single CPU) at a single location, so long as you comply with the terms of this Agreement;

(b) If you are a faculty member or administrative employee who has received this Software from your educational institution, for which this Software was obtained, with accompanying documentation that shows your educational institution has obtained a site license from the Company, you are accessing the Software pursuant to a site license. This site license permits you to install, use and display the Software solely at your educational institution, so long as you comply with the terms of this Agreement;

(c) If you are a faculty member or administrative employee who has received this Software from your educational institution, for which this Software was obtained, with accompanying documentation that shows your educational institution has obtained a local area network license from the Company, you are accessing the Software pursuant to a network license. This network license permits you to install the Software solely on one file server of your educational institution, so long as you comply with the terms of this Agreement.

We reserve any rights not granted to you in this Section 1.

Your educational institution owns only the disk(s) on which the Software is recorded, but we retain all rights, title and ownership to the Software itself, regardless of the form or media on which the original or other copies may exist. This license is not a sale of the original Software or any copy to you.

2. RESTRICTIONS: The following restrictions apply to your use of the Software:

(a) This Software and the accompanying printed materials ("Documentation") are the subject of copyright.You may not copy the Software or otherwise network the Software or use it on more than one computer or computer terminal at the same time, except that you may make a single copy of the Software for backup or archival purposes. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in this Section 2(a), if you are using the Software pursuant to (i) a site license, you may copy the Software for use only at your educational institution for which this product was obtained, or (ii) a local area network license, you may install the Software on a single file server and transmit the Software on an on-line computer network which links authorized users at other computers to the file server. You may not copy the Documentation, except that you may make as many copies as are necessary for other students, faculty members and/or administrative employees enrolled in or employed by your educational institution, so long as you do not charge a fee.

(b) You may not reverse engineer, disassemble, decompile, modify, adapt, translate, or create derivative works based on the Software or the Documentation without prior written consent from the Company.

(c) The enclosed Software is licensed only to you and may not be transferred to any one else without the prior written consent of the Company. Any unauthorized transfer of the Software shall result in the immediate termination of this Agreement.You also may be held legally responsible for any copying, copyright infringement or unauthorized transfer that is caused by your failure to abide by the terms of any of these restrictions.

3. RECORDS: If you have obtained access to the Software pursuant to a site or local area network license, you hereby agree to maintain complete, clear and accurate records of all your activities relating to the use of and display of the tou.html Software and Documentation (including, without limitation, the number of copies displayed and the location where each copy is used), and such records shall be in sufficient detail to enable the Company to determine compliance with the terms of this Agreement. During the term of this Agreement and for a period of six months thereafter, the Company shall have the right, at its expense and on reasonable notice, to examine or have examined by its authorized representatives, your books and records in order to verify your performance under this Agreement.

4. TERMINATION: The license granted to you is effective until terminated. This license will terminate automatically without notice from the Company if you fail to comply with any provisions or limitations of this Agreement.Upon termination, you shall destroy the Documentation and all copies of the Software.All provisions of this Agreement as to limitation and disclaimer of warranties, limitation of liability, remedies or damages, and our ownership rights shall survive termination.

5. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTY: The Company and its licensors make no warranties about the Software, which is provided "as-is." If the disk is defective in materials or workmanship, your only remedy is to return it to the Company within thirty (30) days for replacement unless the Company determines, in good faith, that the disk has been subject to misuse, neglect, improper installation, repair, alteration or damage by you. THE COMPANY AND ITS LICENSORS DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.THE COMPANY DOES NOT WARRANT, GUARANTEE OR MAKE ANY REPRESENTATION REGARDING THE ACCURACY, RELIABILITY, CURRENTNESS, USE, OR RESULTS OF USE, OF THE SOFTWARE.

6. LIMITATION OF REMEDIES AND DAMAGES: IN NO EVENT, SHALL THE COMPANY OR ITS EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, LICENSORS, SUPPLIERS OR CONTRACTORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INCIDENTAL, INDIRECT, SPECIAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF, OR IN CONNECTION WITH, THIS LICENSE OR THE SOFTWARE, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, LOSS OF USE, LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF INCOME OR PROFIT, OR OTHER LOSSES, SUSTAINED AS A RESULT OF INJURY TO ANY PERSON, OR LOSS OF OR DAMAGE TO PROPERTY, OR CLAIMS OF THIRD PARTIES, EVEN IF THE COMPANY OR AN AUTHORIZED REPRESENTATIVE OF THE COMPANY HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. To change the exe & app icons, have to use 3rd party software/tools.

Process: a. Create the ebook icon using any 3rd party software in individual platform.

b. To change icon in Mac – (the files has to be copied to local system to change icon) Select the icon file, Press Command+I (will display the icon properties) Select the icon thumbnail & copy (Command+C) Select the application, Press Command+I (will display the application properties) Select the default icon & press Command+V (paste) The default thumbnail will get updated with the icon file.

c. To change icon in PC – Can use 3rd party software like Exe icon change to change the exe icons Setting up for Hybrid CD

Cutting of Hybrid CD

Once all the above are ready, use the CD Burning software to burn a Hybrid CD specifying the PC, Mac & Common files.

NOTE: CD Label is very important for MAC as the apple script uses the CD Label to execute the application.
