CONFERENCE PROGRAM Revised Draft

28 May, Stavanger, 2007

1 Dear Participant

We would like to welcome you to the Tenth International Conference on Technology Policy and Innovation with a special focus on Energy and Sustainability.

The ICTPI – conference series have always acknowledged science and technology as key global resources for wealth and job creation. Further, both developed and developing countries are increasingly confronted with the challenges of providing affordable, reliable and sustainable energy sources in order to uphold a desirable quality of life in addition to looking at the climate and environment issue.

Therefore the topic of this conference is exceptionally important and the local and international organising committee wish that the conference can put these important topics on the research agenda, that networks are created and sustained and just as important, that all participants have a pleasant stay in Stavanger during ICTPI – 10.

With Regards,

The Local & International Organising Committee for the Tenth International Conference on Technology Policy and Innovation Energy and Sustainabilty, Stavanger – 2007.

1 Enova is a public enterprise owned by the Royal Norwegian Ministry of Petroleum and Energy.Enova SF`s main mission is to contribute to environmentally sound and rational use and production of energy, relying on financial instruments and incentives to stimulate market actors and mechanisms to achieve national energy policy goals. The establishment of Enova SF signals a shift in Norway`s organization and implementation of its energy efficiency and renewable energy policy. By gathering strategic policy responsibilities in a small, flexible and market oriented organization, Norway has wanted to create a pro-active agency that has the capacity to stimulate energy efficiency by motivating cost-effective and environmentally sound investment decisions. Enova SF enjoys considerable freedom with regard to the choice and composition of its strategic foci and policy measures. Enova SF advises the Ministry in questions relating to energy efficiency and new renewable energy.
