[5275] 2 1 Whereas, it is vital that South Carolinians with diabetes be aware 2 of the dangers and warning signs of diabetic peripheral neuropathy 3 and make healthy lifestyle choices to prevent the onset of this 4 lifechanging condition. Now, therefore, 5 6 Be it resolved by the House of Representatives: 7 8 That the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives, 9 by this resolution, recognize May 22, 2012, as Diabetic Peripheral 10 Neuropathy Day at the State Capitol to raise awareness of the 11 deleterious effects of nerve damage due to diabetic peripheral 12 neuropathy. 13 14 Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to 15 the South Carolina chapter of the American Diabetes Association. 16 XX 17
