Dress Code for the Independence High School HOMECOMING Dance

IHS Homecoming 2017 There is No Place Like HIME

Independence High School’s Homecoming Dance will be on October 28th from 7:00-10:00pm. The Homecoming ticket and t-shirt sales will begin the first week of October. If your student is interested in bringing a guest from another school, they will need to turn in a guest waiver form. The guest waiver forms are located in the AP office.

DRESS CODE FOR THE INDEPENDENCE HIGH SCHOOL HOMECOMING DANCE SATURDAY, OCTOBER 28TH FROM 7:00-10:00PM

GENTLEMEN  Expected attire is a suit or dress shirt and tie.  No jeans are allowed.  No hats, shades, bandanas, grills, or other miscellaneous items that are a violation of the school dress code will be allowed.  All school dress code policies will be enforced.

LADIES  Expected attire include: o Dresses, pant suits, and skirts that are within school dress code (must be finger-tip length; slits must not extend past finger-tip length) o Spaghetti straps are acceptable, but dress code regarding cleavage must be followed. o Dresses should be modestly cut; no plunging necklines are allowed. o The majority of the back must be covered. o Dress shoes are expected to be worn (no slippers, house shoes or athletic shoes). o No two-piece, bra-top-type dresses. o All dresses must cover the mid-riff region and be modest in style with no sheer fabric. o No see through tops or bra-tops. o No “mesh” that attaches a bra top to a skirt bottom, thus making it a one-piece dress. o No strapless dresses. o One shoulder dresses are allowed.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION  IHS administration will not allow students into the dance if their attire does not comply with these standards and refunds will not be given.  As this is a school sponsored activity, ANY PERSON that attends the Independence High School Homecoming Dance MUST be in compliance with the dress code and all Independence High School Policies & Procedures.
