(Santa Ana)—Do you want to spend a delightful spring day eating great food, viewing cultural treasures and enjoying gorgeous gardens? If so, join Santa Ana

College for a fun trip that is sure to leave you feeling rejuvenated.

Santa Ana College Community Services program is hosting a “Brunch, Tea and Tour” at the Huntington Library on Saturday, May 14. Departure time is at 9 a.m. from parking lot # 9 at Santa Ana College and the approximate return time is 4 p.m. The trip has a fee of $78 and reservations may be made by calling (714) 564-

The remarkable Huntington, located in San Marino, boasts beautiful botanical gardens that span over 150 acres with approximately 15,000 types of plants from all over the world. The Huntington is a research and educational center that includes three art galleries and a library, which showcase paintings, sculptures, rare books, manuscripts, and decorative arts. Among some of its most notable pieces are the

Ellesmere manuscript of Chaucer’s Canterbury Tales (c.1410), a Gutenberg Bible on vellum (c.1455), Thomas Gainsborough’s masterpiece The Blue Boy (c.1770), Sir

The day begins in the Garden Teahouse for a brunch buffet consisting of delicious finger sandwiches, cheese platters, fresh fruits and salads, scrumptious desserts, and tea. Next, the group will be taken on a docent-led outdoor estate tour.

After the tour, enjoy the rest of the day strolling through the gardens, library exhibition hall and art galleries. The gallery’s fine art captures views of the English countryside, the Alpine scenery and sunlit landscapes of southern Europe. When you’ve had your full, you’ll get on the bus and enjoy the return trip to Orange County.
