Riverside Golf Club of Fresno Board of Directors Meeting April 14, 2015 {Minutes}

Meeting Called to Order: 6:07pm, Joe Machado (motion), Carl Chance (2nd)

Roll Call: Keith Berry, Adam Pohll, Chuck Duren, Roy Williams, Carl Chance, Dale Nance, Vic Horg, Doug Landy, Troy Takagi, Donnie Golden, Bennie Steele, Joe Machado

Reports: Keith Berry  Spring Get Together was a success with 44 participants and no donation back to the event. In 2013 we donated $600, this savings will go towards the two new events in 2015. o Member / Guest o President’s Cup at Pacific Grove  Presidents cup sign ups begin. Pacific Grove August 15th $85 per player. o This date may change due to a large community event in Pacific Grove making it difficult to book hotel rooms. Joe Machado is taking the lead on this event and is looking into the possibility of August 29th.  NCGA Zone Qualifier is April 25th, currently 10 teams signed up.

Benny Steele (Treasurer)  Expenses down for 2014, memberships up for 2015, off to a great start  Approximately $5600 remaining to spend in 2015, this is up 10% from 2014

Roy Williams (Membership Chairman)  Voted to discount memberships as follows . $55 for April, May and June . $50 for July through September  Would like to see membership grow to 400 regular members and 100 YOC.  Currently 355 regular members 2 Junior Business & 96 Youth on Course

Keith Berry (General Manager)  Bunker renovation over the next three years, expensive project. Please provide input. New sand, drainage, sod liners. Fill in a few fairways bunkers on #4, 6, 9 & 18. Projected to start July 1st.  Chuck and his crew working hard on the fairways to get them ready for the Fresno City Amateur.  Range re-construction is complete.

Old Business: Fresno City Amateur  Volunteers and players needed Drive, Chip and Putt – June 16th  Volunteers needed

New Business:  Trestle café capital project is on hold. Course Co looking into the possibility of a new building. This has put a temporary hold on the scoreboard construction. If a new building were built it may affect the location of the scoreboard.
