THE CONDITIONS FOR THE USE OF THE ROOMS AT GLORIA'S MULTICULTURAL CENTRE

1A) THE RIGHTS FOR THE USE OF THE ROOMS

Multicultural Centre's rooms (Kauppakatu 18 C 35, 4TH FLOOR) may be booked and used by immigrants and ethnic groups, all other campaigns and groups who support the aims of the Multicultural Centre. The rooms may be booked only for the use of your own group/organization. In gathering groups of six one group member has to be above 18 years old. Parents are always responsible for their children who are under 18 years old. The people who use the rooms have to acknowledge the aims, values and obey the rules of the Multicultural Centre.

RULES

B) THE PURPOSE OF USE OF THE ROOMS

Gloria's Multicultural Centre is open to everyone Tuesday to Friday 9-15 o'clock. When visiting Gloria's Multicultural Centre you have to take others into account if there are any activities taking place at that time. Café Gloria is open on Wednesdays 12-15 o'clock. Culture cafeteria is open on Wednesdays 18-20.

Rooms can be used by groups for arranging meetings, workshops, seminars, or trainings. If you want to arrange parties you have to inform the staff about them in advance.

The activities which take place in Gloria's Multicultural Centre have to be legal, open, non- intoxicant and non-violent. Multicultural Centre Gloria is uncommitted both party and religious wise. Finnish is the common language in Gloria.

C) BOOKING OF ROOMS

Rooms are booked at Gloria's Multicultural Centre and are provided for use according to the order of booking. The rooms are not meant for daily regular use. In spring (February) and in autumn (August) groups apply for the rooms. The rooms are provided for use for the next six months.

Book Gloria's rooms together with the staff. Write in Finnish (clearly) each and every reservation in pencil in the reservation book. Mark the time when you will begin and when you will end, the name and the phone number of the person or the group booking. The group has to have a person who is responsible for guiding the people. Please book half an hour after the previous group ends i.e. to give an allowance of half an hour's shift for you/your group. Remember to cancel your booking if you are unable to come.

Gloria's Multicultural Centre's own groups and events have priority for use of the rooms. That is the reason why Gloria's staff has the right to cancel a booking and to inform the contact person not later than a week before their event take's place.

The use of the room meant for organizations is unlimited and you don't need to book it. Organizations can bring files but nothing else.

D) PAYMENT OF THE ROOMS AND CLEANING

Groups can use Gloria's rooms for a maximum of 3 hours per week. You can ask for extra time from the staff. The rooms are meant to be used by small ethnical groups and multicultural associations. Private occasions are chargeable. (Look at the list of prices). The user(s) of the rooms are responsible for cleaning the rooms (plus the kitchen) after using them. They are also responsible for informing the staff if any furniture/appliances gets broken or lost. When cleaning put the dishes into the dishing washing machine, toys into the boxes and arrange the chairs and tables. Do not put on the dishing washing machine. Put off the lights and electronic appliances, close the windows and lock the doors.

The user(s) of the rooms is responsible for overseeing Gloria's property while they are in the rooms. The users have to be sure that no stranger remains in the rooms when leaving. The users of the rooms will have to pay if the rooms need extra cleaning or the property of the Multicultural Centre is broken or destroyed .

When leaving the user(s) of the rooms will have to take their belongings and devices. Gloria is not responsible for the property left in their rooms by the user(s). The rooms of Gloria may not be used for storing property.

E) About the use of the rooms

You can use the kitchen of Gloria. Bring your servings. Label the food which you leave in the fridge. Foods without names belong to Gloria's Multicultural Centre.

F) The keys of the rooms

If there be a need the users of the rooms can be given the keys of the rooms. The user(s) agrees to take care of the keys. The keys are not to be handed to strangers. The person responsible for the group signs an agreement of use with Gloria at a time agreed by both parties. The person responsible for the group also assures that the keys are only used on fixed time(s).

If the keys are not returned or they get lost, the user(s) will have to pay for a new key and for changing of the locks. In addition the user pays for the opening of the door. If the keys get lost you have to inform the Multicultural Centre immediately. The keys have to be fetched from Gloria on weekdays and they have to be returned to the staff or an agreed place in Gloria not later than the next working day.

2. Agreement offence

If the user of the rooms does not follow the rules or the Multicultural Centre suspects that the activities of the users of the rooms are in contradiction with the values and policies of Gloria, Gloria's Multicultural Centre can refuse the use of the room for a certain period of time or entirely. The decision is forwarded to the Glojury of Gloria. The decision is also given in written form to the user(s) of the rooms. Before decision making the user(s) of the rooms is given a chance to express his point of view.

We commit to follow the rules and the values of Gloria when the rooms are in our use.
