“Summer Ducks” Schedule of Summer Events and Activities
Parents,
The Redding Swim Team is here to help your child enjoy the wonderful sport of swimming. We have many activities scheduled for this summer that you need to know about. If you have any questions please ask your coach.
Team Activities and Swim Meets: June 8 First Day of Summer Ducks
June 10 Nor Cal Swim Shop will be at practice to fit swim suits for swimmers and sell goggles.
June 19-21 Durham Dolphins Swim Meet @ Durham High School
June 25 No practice. Team Pictures at the Redding Aquatic Center 9:15 am. Tri-City Fun Meet – Shasta College 6:45 pm.
June 27-28 Redding Swim Meet - (Long Course 50 meters)
July 8 Anderson Aqua Gators Dual Meet @ West Valley High School
July 11-12 Red Bluff Tritons Swim Meet @ Red Bluff High School
July 18-19 Anderson Aqua Gators Swim Meet @ West Valley High School
July 29 Awards Banquet – Barbecue at Caldwell Park.
July 31-August 2 NVAL Championship at Redding Aquatic Center
In order to be eligible for the NVAL Championships, swimmers must compete in at least two of the listed meets throughout the summer.
Our Team Colors are Navy Blue and Green. If possible we want all of our swimmers to wear a Team suit or at least a solid Navy Blue suit.
Nor-Cal Swim Shop will be at Redding Aquatic Center 10-11am and Shasta College on Wednesday June 10, so you can try on and purchase a team swim suit, goggles and swim caps. Their staff will be available to help fit and size your child for the right suit.
Regarding goggles, a good rule of thumb is to not spend a lot of money. Also, write your child’s name on the strap. Team T-Shirts and swim caps can be purchased at the pool. T-shirt are $10.00, caps are $4.00.
