Auto Warehousing Company has been in business since 1962, we are the largest full service auto servicing and processing company in the nation. AWC provides a variety of services for auto manufacturers, including loading and unloading new vehicles onto railcars, installing accessories, body repair, and general vehicle inspection and processing.

Purpose The Corporate Sr. Benefits Manager oversees and is accountable for the operational management and delivery of pension and benefits programs for all employees in the United States and Canada. This position supports the company goals in the development, implementation and maintenance of the pension and benefits framework that supports the organization’s immediate and long-term business goals. Priorities include the development of processes, tools and communication material, on-going project management and partnerships with third-party pension and benefits administrators and actuaries. The Corporate Sr. Benefits Manager will have direct supervision over the benefits department team. This position requires the scoping and management of projects, integration with other functional areas (e.g., HRIS, IT, Finance, Legal, Accounting, Payroll, Communications, Procurement) and the execution of vendor partner contracts that meet Company requirements. The position also includes oversight and understanding of all company leave programs, including FMLA and Short Term Disability. This position requires a working knowledge of COBRA, FMLA, HIPAA, PPACA and other applicable state and federal laws and the ability to maintain confidentiality of information. Minimum Requirements  Bachelor's degree, and preferably CEBS designation.  Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in benefits/total compensation, with the majority of that in a leadership or management position, or demonstrated comparable experience.  Demonstrated understanding of an integrated total rewards approach to benefits and employee wellness and knowledge of the design and administration of effective reward and recognition programs for all levels of employees.  Strong leadership and management skills, including the ability to build and motivate high performing teams.  Ability to build effective working relationships and to work collaboratively with key stakeholders.  Exceptional interpersonal, oral and written communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with multiple and diverse constituents including strong presentation skills.  Detail oriented, accurate and able to maintain confidential and private personnel data.  Demonstrated record of supporting principles of equal opportunity and affirmative action in promoting a diverse workforce.  In-depth understanding of applicable federal state and local regulatory agency rules and regulations as well as health and welfare qualified and non-qualified plans and associated regulatory and compliance issues.  A high level of professional and technical expertise of complex and evolving pension and benefits programs and legislation in the US and Canada.  In-depth knowledge of compliance legislation, laws and regulatory reporting requirements, including FMLA, HIPAA, PPACA, and current practices and trends.  In-depth policy and program design through conceptual thinking and solid subject matter expertise and experience.  Excellent communication and presentation skills at all levels including the employee level and with Operations Unit to effectively deliver technical information.  Strong project management and organization skills in order to effectively manage priorities and meet timelines and deliverables.  Strong negotiation, communication and relationship management skills acquired through experience with managing complex issues and in-depth understanding of human resource policies and procedures.  Ability to be flexible in changing work priorities.
