Rs. 4.71/LTR RELIEF ON PETROL PRICE NOTIFIED: The OGRA announced to reduce prices of petroleum products in the range of Rs. 2.53-8.46 from May 1, 2013. According to a notification, the price of petrol was reduced by Rs. 4.71 per litre from Rs. 102.30 per litre to Rs. 97.59 per litre, High Octane Blending Component (HOBC) by Rs. 8.46 per litre from Rs. 132.03 per litre to Rs. 123.57 per litre, High Speed Diesel (HSD) by Rs. 2.53 per litre from Rs. 108.59 per litre to Rs. 106.06 per litre, Light Diesel Oil (LDO) by Rs. 4.22 per litre from Rs. 89.06 per litre to Rs. 93.28 per litre and Kerosene Oil by Rs. 4.09 per litre from Rs. 98.26 per litre to Rs. 94.17 per litre. The average fuel price rose by 100% from 2008 to 2013. Petrol prices registered an increase of Rs. 40.50 per litre as in 2008 petrol was selling at Rs. 62.80 per litre against Rs 103.70 per litre current price.
