LSS Academy Sdn Bhd organises the inaugural Lean Six Sigma colloquium in conjunction with Lean Applied Sdn. Bhd. and with the support and participation from the Multimedia Development Corporation Sdn Bhd (MDeC).

Selangor, Malaysia, May 12, 2009 – LSS Academy Sdn Bhd, an MSC Status Company, is organising the inaugural Changing with Lean Six Sigma Colloquium that is scheduled to take place on the 14th May 2009 at Marriott Putrajaya, Selangor. The theme of the colloquium focuses on CHANGE that is required for Innovation, Cost Savings and Continuous Improvements in a Challenging Economic Climate. This colloquium would also be the stage where the first Asian based Lean Six Sigma’s Change Management book entitled Changing with Lean Six Sigma authored by Dr. A. Aruleswaran, a Malaysian Subject Matter Expert, would be launched together with an Australasian Lean Six Sigma Knowledge web-portal hosted at www.dmaic-net.com.

The colloquium, a whole day of interactive discussions and learning, would be facilitated by distinguished International Subject Matter Experts and Local Practitioners. Amongst them are Dr. Sibylle Mutschler from UMS Consulting GmbH, Frankfurt, Germany and Mr. Matthew Gracie from Rath & Strong from the United Kingdom. These experts will share their experiences since the days of Motorola when Six Sigma was introduced to the world and their current experiences working on one of the world’s largest program with a Multi National Corporation that employs more than 500,000 thousand employess globally. The colloquium would be moderated by Professor Mahendhiran Nair from Monash University Malaysia and Assoc. Professor Nicolo Belavendram from University Tunku Abdul Rahman.

The colloquium would be solemnly inaugurated by the Deputy Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office, Dato’ S.K. Devamany followed by special welcoming addresses by the Chief Operating Officer of MDeC, Ms. Ng Wan Peng and the Vice President of Software Development and Central Engineering, MIMOS Bhd., Mr. Thillai Raj, who would be speaking on Embracing Six Sigma – Innovation for Life, experiences in MIMOS. MIMOS Bhd. is one of the first Malaysian based Institution that has embarked in Six Sigma with a rigour that mirrors successful corporations such as General Electric and Motorola.

The colloquium is expected to enhance the knowledge of participants in the topics of Lean and Six Sigma with special emphasis on Innovation, Cost Saving and Continuous LSS Academy Sdn. Bhd. Topics of discussions include the success factors for Design of Innovative Processes, Lean Profit HuntTM, Fast Innovation and Wastes in the Service Sectors. The book, Changing with Lean Six Sigma, published by LSS Academy Sdn Bhd, focuses on Leadership and Change Management that is essential for a successful Lean Six Sigma Organization and it builds on the knowledge and experience of the Author, Dr. A. Aruleswaran, would has successfully undertaken challenges to change leaders within Asian Based business organisation and adopt Lean Six Sigma.

The web-portal www.dmaic-net.com is Dr. Arul’s vision to develop the capability of Asian knowledge workers with the Lean Six Sigma skill set. It will be the platform for the fundamental piece of education of future business leaders from the Australasian region. The Changing with Lean Six Sigma colloquium is organised by LSS Academy Sdn Bhd and Lean Applied Sdn Bhd and is supported by Multimedia Development Corporation Sdn Bhd.
