OUC Transmission Customers

OUC transmission service rates fall into two categories, OATT rates and Contract rates. Contract rates are also commonly referred to as ‘pre-existing contracts’ and ‘pre-FERC Order No. 888 contracts’. This letter addresses both rates.

OATT Rates OUC filed updated Transmission Rates with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) and received approval for those rates to be effective Oct 1st 2017.

* The monthly charge for Yearly service was calculated at $18,785.61 which for the Tariff filing was rounded up to $18,786. When $18,785.61is divided by 12 and rounded to the nearest dollar it results in a rounded monthly charge of $1565. So when charged on an annual basis the Yearly rate would actually be 18780 per year.

Ancillary Service #2: Reactive Supply and Voltage Control from Generation or Other Sources Effective Oct 1 2017 OUC will waive the charge for this service for all customers. All transmission customers are receiving Ancillary Service #1 “Scheduling, System Control and Dispatch” and #2 “Reactive Supply and Voltage Control from Generation and Other Sources” even though they are not shown as line items on the reservations.

Contract Rates Below is a table showing current FMPA contracts and KUA contracts that include firm transmission services provided by OUC under Contract Rates. Effective October 1, 2017, the monthly charges for these services will be increased from $1,383.43/MW to $1,504.36/MW.
