Important Information:

Backpack requirements: Beginning this school year 2017-1018, all backpacks must be clear. If clear is unavailable, mesh bacpacks will be acceptable.

Security at Carr: Carr is a safe school. Montgomery Public Schools have zero tolerance for weapons of any kind. Students in possession of guns or weapons at school will receive the maximum suspension from school allowable and expulsion procedures will be initiated immediately.

We enforce the following: All doors leading into the building are locked. All students should go to their designated grade level areas in the morning time. Any student coming after the tardy bell must sign in at main office. All visitors must also sign in and sign out at the office when you come to visit or volunteer.

Parent Drop-off and Pickup: Parents, please remember the importance of driving slowly around the school once your child has been dropped off or picked up. Be aware of the crosswalks when driving to and from the school. Drivers who continue to double-park or speed after being warned will have their license plates recorded and reported to the Montgomery Police Department. We are concerned for your children’s safety. Please follow the laws of the road and practice safe driving habits when you are around Carr Middle School.

Student Arrival in the Morning: Students who are eating breakfast may arrive at 7:05 a.m., enter through their designated areas according to grade level and go into the cafeteria to eat. Students who are not eating breakfast should arrive at school between 7:05 a.m. and 7:35 a.m. The bell rings at 7:30 a.m. and tardy bell at 7:35 a.m.

Early Release of students: Children are dismissed from the office if you pick them up before the regular release time. For the safety and security of your children, they must be signed out and picked up at the office to ensure that classroom disruptions are minimized and your children are released to an authorized adult. Please visit often our school website. It contains valuable information about our school guidelines, policies, and procedures, as well as your child’s teachers assignments. We look forward to working together to foster a globally-minded community.
