Geology 3rd Quarter Volcano Project Directions: 1. Chose one of the major volcanic eruptions from the list below. 2. Write a short 2 page paper describing the event or arrange the information on half a poster board. Be sure to include the following: A. Volcano's Name: B. Map Coordinates of Volcano: C. Location of Volcano (Be as accurate as possible--Country, State, City): D. Neighboring Cities Within Destructive Path: E. Type of Volcano (Shield, Cinder, Composite): F. Elevation of Volcano: G. Eruptive Products (Type of Lava, Pyroclasts, Poisonous Gas, etc.): H. Interesting Physical Features (lateral vents, caldera, etc.): I. Eruptive History including i. How often/many times ii. effect on environment and iii. effect on human population and civilization J. Other Interesting Facts: K. Attach at least two photos L.
