Job Description

Support Team Manager

Responsible to: Head of Retail

Objectives of job: Responsibility for all administration functions for the Trading division and supporting the Head of Retail, Trading Director and other senior colleagues as required with administrative tasks. Accountable for delivering sales budgets of the bought-in stock categories within Trading.

Pay Scale: 35 - 39

Base: Crayford

Key responsibilities

 To ensure an efficient and accurate administration system is maintained within Sense Trading at all times  To manage the support team effectively ensuring a high standard of work at all times  Construct effective range buying plans for shops to meet sales & margin budgets, with plans presented to the HoR for authorisation sign off  Effective sourcing of new and second-hand goods to deliver buying plans and profit targets  To take responsibility for the day to day operation of the Crayford office

Specific responsibilities

Operational management

 To lead and manage all Trading administrative procedures and processes with efficiency and accuracy  To have overall responsibility for Gift Aid Administration in line with HMRC legislation  Maximise sales and profitability of bought-in goods to support Trading profit through effective buying and sourcing  Effective management of stock margins through structured control of stock levels, markdowns and reviewing shrinkage

1  To work closely with Area Managers to organise equipment, stationery, poster campaigns, Health & Safety material and general administration to support shops  To maintain full and effective supply of stationery, shop and company equipment on an ongoing basis  To maintain administration of all Sense national raffles for Trading ensuring compliance with gaming regulations and laws  To maintain administration of all van collection details, administration and collection licences  To take responsibility for the accurate administration of the recycling credit process  To continually review prices & manage all equipment purchased or leased by Trading  Validation of reports produced by the BIS assistant in meetings with the HoR.  To support the warehouse in their administrative processes and stock handling, managing all Bought In Stock packing in a timely manner in line with Area Manager instructions and planning distribution timelines through requests to the Warehouse supervisor.  To have responsibility for good office management at Crayford and be the first point of contact for any Crayford office based issues  To be the first point of contact for all complaints and Sense generated enquiries  To ensure all bought-in goods are compliant with UK legislation and licencing laws  Responsibility for H&S management of the Crayford building on a day to day basis & responsibility for all regular inspections & paperwork relating to the Crayford building

General

 To effectively manage volunteer recruitment & day to day management of tasks within the department  To carry out annual appraisals in line with current practice  To build and maintain good working relationships with colleagues throughout the organisation  To be an active member of the Trading Management Team  To undertake specific projects or tasks as requested by your Line Manager and other senior colleagues as mutually agreed  To produce reports regarding administration and bought-in goods functions as requested
