Suggested Summer Reading

Mandatory and Suggested Summer Reading Selections Approved by the Alemany English Department Updated June 21, 2010

In an effort to inspire students to read for both enrichment and pleasure, the English Department has approved the following summer reading selections. Alemany’s English teachers have carefully chosen literary works that have both academic and recreational value. Students are encouraged to read as many of these works as they wish. In the fall, they will have various opportunities to use any approved summer reading they have completed to benefit them in their English classes.
