Notes Email: Students will be required to contact the instructor using the Gordon State College email. The instructor will not correspond with students regarding this class through any off campus email or D2L email. A lot of the information that students need to take this course is available at one of the following; the course webpage (found on my faculty webpage), or the D2L class page. I recommend that students search both of these for the answers to their questions before emailing questions regarding matters of assignment, online quizzes, etc. Also for the sake of student equality in the course my responses to most individual student emails go to the entire class. Much like questions asked in regular class time, I feel that all students are privy to the questions as well as my responses. Students should be aware that my responses to emails related to the class are replied to the entire class.
Missed Assignments, In-Class Discussion, Research Project, or Quizzes: There will be no makeup opportunity for missed quizzes, in-class discussions, or assignments. Quizzes will be offered to students through Brightspace (D2L) and the students are responsible for completing the quizzes before the deadlines posted on each. Assignments posted for students on the class webpage and the students are responsible for completing the assignments before the listed deadlines on each. In-class discussions opportunities will be available throughout the semester, dates posted on the class schedule. Do not wait until the last minute/day to complete assignments, in-class discussions and/or quizzes. This could lead to problems and you will be held accountable for your procrastination, you will not receive the possible points for any incomplete quiz or assignment.
Missed Final Exam: If you are absent for the final exam you will need to bring documentation supporting your reason of absence to the instructor within 4 days of the absence, and prior notification to the instructor of this absence as well as the reason for the absence is highly recommended.
