Classroom Procedures

Beginning of class: 1. Mark your attendance 2. Take your seat and get out yesterday's assignment and grading pen 3. Work any warm-up problems 4. If you have been absent, be sure to check for any work you missed.

During class: 1. If you have a question, or need to get my attention, please raise your hand. 2. If an announcement comes on, please be quiet and listen, even if the announcement is not for you. 3. If you need to go to the restroom, ask for permission, after receiving permission, sign the Restroom Pass Usage sheet, and take the Hall Pass. You will not be allowed to go to the restroom during the first 15 minutes of class, or the last 5 minutes of class. If you do not have time to go when you arrive for class, you may ask for permission before the bell rings and I may allow you to go then without consequence. 4. I do not allow students to get a drink during class. 5. You are to come to class with all necessary materials, so you will not be permitted to go to you locker during class. 6. When I am teaching, you should remain quiet, and only talk if you have been called on. 7. While working on an assignment, you may ask someone around you a question about the assignment. Other than that, you should concentrate on you work and keep quiet. 8. Math class is for math assignments only. 9. If you are not using a mechanical pencil (shame on you!) and need to sharpen you pencil, you may do it without permission anytime you can do it without disturbing the class. 10. Assignments maybe turned in one of two ways: a. Put in the baskets at the back of my room (if they are not collected during class) b. Emailed to [email protected]. Please use either Twotrees.com ([email protected]) or jenksms.com 11. If it is not yours, leave it alone! 12. Students MUST correctly wear their ID 13. Students MUST bring and fill out their agendas (even if you finish the assignment in class). 14. You should always conduct yourself in a way that shows you respect yourself, others, and the teacher.

End of class: 1. You should not stop working until the bell rings. 2. If you finish your work before the end of class, you may read or work on something else AFTER you have shown me your completed assignment. 3. You may leave when I have dismissed you.
