Dynamic and enthusiastic instructional leader and seasoned educator seeking a leadership position in a visionary school with a mission and vision that challenges teachers and students to strive for excellence. I hold a post-graduate degree in education coupled with 15+ years of experience instructing middle and high school students both in the United States and overseas. My education and experience includes imminent completion of the endorsement for administration and supervision, completion of an internship in education leadership, three years as science department head, and success in mentoring both students and teachers.

 Acting Science Department Head, 2011-2012, responsible for ordering and procurement of Science resources, curriculum development, and curriculum realignment for MYP Science.  Served as a Global Citizenship Program supervisor to guide students towards achieving their Bronze and Silver Awards in the International Global Citizenship Program.  Coordinated Global Issues Network Indonesia conference in Jakarta and Global Issues Network Conference in the Philippines where students participated in environmental projects.  Participated in on-going MYP and DP professional development including IB training in Singapore

FAUQUIER HIGH SCHOOL, WARRENTON, VIRGINIA, USA General Biology, AP Biology, and Environmental Science Teacher August 2004 – July 2010

 Skilled science teacher responsible for curriculum planning and instruction in the areas of General Biology, AP Biology, Ecology/Environmental Science  Successful grant writer winning two grants to perform water quality surveys.  Conducted on-going water monitoring program with students to educate them about water quality issues in partnership with the John Marshall Soil and Water Conservation District.

 Awarded the John Marshall Soil and Water Conservation District's Environmental Educator award for 2006 and 2007 for work with students in the areas of Environmental Education.  Award recipient Fauquier Excellence in Education Award 2008 winning a trip to visit an environmental center in the Peruvian Amazon and study with Environmental Scientists.
