iClaim Processing Instructions

I. iClaim Set-up

- Load Communication program and add "A4 EDI Transmission" icon on client’s desktop. A4’s Austin EDI center (Mark Price, 866-818-2155, x2654) contacts the client to complete this step.

- Map the drive that has the "Electronic Claims" Folder. (also A4’S EDI Center, Normally using T:)

- Create a shortcut to the “EDI Reports” folder, this folder will contain all the reports produced by ICLAIM.

- Within the “EDI Reports” folder, set up a folder called “Archived Reports” just to keep the files organized. Within “Archived Reports” we set up monthly folders in order for the client to delete monthly files over a certain time period old – their discretion as to how long to keep the files. -

II. Sending Claims - Here are the setting for the “Electronic Claim Format”: -

- Once the insurance file has been prepared, the client clicks the “A4 EDI Transmission” icon for transmitting. When the window closes the file has been sent.

III. Retrieving and Viewing reports - Retrieving reports From you desktop, select the "A4 EDI Transmission" icon. This will retrieve your reports from the A4 EDI system.

- Viewing reports From your computer, Either select the shortcut “EDI Reports” or access the T drive (can be accessed from the "My Computer" icon. Select the "EDI Reports" folder (double click). Select the report file you would like to view. (If your computer prompts for which program to use, select "notepad")

- Report names. The A4 reports are numbered with date, client number, company number, and will have identifying codes: o CN = notification that file was received by A4. Should be ready within 20 minutes. o CP = A listing of claims received. o CR = Errors reports indicating either no errors encountered or a list of errors. o CC = carrier reports.
