Load in: At the rear of building with flat access directly on to the stage. Please note we do not supply ramps. Vehicles may remain at the dock for the duration of the production. Due to the nature of the access to the Dock door from the nearby streets it is advisable for visiting productions with large vehicles to contact the theatre prior to arrival so that suitable arrangements can be made to assist drivers.

Stage floor: 12mm Ply on hardboard sheets. Fixing/screwing into the floor, within reason, is possible with the prior agreement of the Technical Manager except on the Stage apron. Flat floor.

Proscenium: 8.5 metres wide by 5.26 metres high.

Depth: 8.3 metres from Setting line (rear edge of Safety Curtain) 10.55 metres from front edge of apron.

Wings: Stage left – 6 metres from proscenium to wall, full depth of stage.

Stage right – 5 metres from proscenium to wall, no wing upstage of 6.5 metres from Setting line

Flying: 27 Single Purchase Counterweight sets each at 500kg SWL UD. There are spaces in the system – see Stage Plan for details.

Pit: The Stage Apron can be lowered as a single unit to provide an orchestra pit. This can be set at any level down to a depth of 2.8 metres. At the lowest level an area of approximately 10 metres x 3 metres is available.

Stage Management:

The Stage Management desk is located Down Stage Left with integrated Cue light control, Comms and TV monitor with low light camera on the Balcony front.

Front of House and Back Stage call system is operated from the SM desk. Wireless comms x 4 available on request.

Wired comms at Lighting, Sound, Fly floor, SR, USR, USC, Orchestra pit and Follow spots.

Washing machine and drier are available.

10 x Dressing Rooms – 3 at stage level, 6 under stage and 1 at 1st floor level. Capacity varies but most rooms can accommodate up to 6 persons at a squeeze.
