Place Value Discs

These place value discs make a nice replacement for your Math in Focus program manippulatives if your students in past years have lost yours. It can be frustrating when they get swept up, but it doesn’t have to ruin things for your next group!

This product includes 9 different discs, with places ranging from .01 to 10,000, along with 2 discs I added: 100,000 and 1,000,000.

This product includes:

* A one page sheet of all 9 discs in color. Print off this page, cut on the lines (I wouldn’t cut out each circle! Save time and leave them squares). You will have 4 of each disc, and 3 of the million.

* 9 black and white pages for each of the 9 discs. If you don’t want to use color ink, you can print these sheets. Then follow the directions for which color copy paper to use for each disc. Once again, cut out the squares using a paper cutter to save time. Or, if you don’t have color copy paper, have students color the circles and cut them out.

Decide if you want to create 1 set per student, pair, or group of students. Print 6 pages for each set. This will give you 24 of each disc (except the million)
