LEARNING HEROES FOR THIS WEEK

Year Group Reason Year 1 – Hayden Turzynski For always following the school rules and being helpful to other children and never giving up. Year 2 – Rachel Gibbons She is patient and independent which has helped her to settle into her new class beautifully. Year 3 - Alfie Roberts For being more focused on task in class. Year 4 – Natalie Snedden For increased effort in her learning and working very hard in class. Year 5 – Year 5 Exemplary behaviour Year 6 – Isabel Macina For showing respect and having good concentration.

PTA Message re- School Christmas Fayre 29th November The Christmas Fayre is only 3 weeks away so please can you start looking in your cupboards for any items that you can donate. A flier is attached detailing the types of things we will need. We’ll also be in touch later with details of the specific things we are asking each year group to bring.

Pre-school Quiz Night – Friday 13th November Doors will be open from 7:30pm with the quiz starting at 8:00pm. Plenty of drinks and snacks will be available to buy on the night. Previous years' fundraising nights have been a great success and it is a fun way for us to support and help to raise valuable funds for our wonderful pre-school.

Tickets are £6 per person, including free drink on arrival. Don't worry if you don't get a team together, we can join you up with some friendly people. Everybody is welcome Tickets are available from the pre-school office or Gillian Moffatt (Mum of Tom Moffatt in reception).

Dinner Money for this half term £1.60/day, £8/week £56 for this half term. Please make cheques payable to ‘BMC School Meals’ and record your child’s name on the reverse of the cheque.

Use of Playground Equipment Please be aware that it is the responsibility of parents to supervise their own child/children, if they want to play on the new equipment in the playground BEFORE or AFTER school.

Donations of junk modelling for Year 3 Year 3 doing are wanting to make a model stone age village and request donations of junk modelling materials, fabric, hay, small pebbles in order to do this. If you have any suitable materials please could you send them in to school?

Clare Soundy’s Sponsored singing marathon On November 11th, Clare Soundy, Year 6 will be doing a sponsored singing marathon of 40 songs. This will be filmed and edited to view on line if people would like to see Clare’s efforts. For more details please e-mail Clare’s family on [email protected]. Clare is very keen to raise money for Children In Need this year and has an official money-raising pack. A sponsor form will be left in the school office for anyone wishing to sponsor Clare.

 Saturday 21st November 2015  PLEASE NOTE - EVENT IS RESTRICTED TO THE 12 SCHOOLS IN THE WHARFEDALE LEAGUE.  The races are on a school playing field which is a DOG FREE AREA - please leave your dog at home or in the car.  Races for Reception to Year 6  Please park considerately on the roads near the school and NOT on the grass verges.
