Student Records: Grade Loader

Part 1: Grade Loader for Day & Evening, Off Campus, and Eleven-Week Divisions This program will load students’ midterm or final grades for all selected courses. Grades have to be loaded with this program before they can be changed.

1. Select options for loading grades: a. Type of grades to load? – Select either Midterm or Final from the pull- down menu. b. What form of output would you like? - Select e-mail or up to 5 printed copies. Please note that if you select e-mail, the grade list will come as a pdf file, Adobe Acrobat is necessary to open this file.

2. Next, enter the course to process. Click here for more information on selecting courses. 3. Once the course has been selected, grades for each student can be entered. a. A list of students will appear with a box in which grades can be entered. b. The course code and title, and the instructor’s ID number and name will appear at the top of the screen. Below will be the list of students enrolled in the course.

c. Please note that any grade that is invalid will automatically show as asterisks. d. Once two characters have been entered, the cursor will generally tab down to the next student. However, this may not work when using some web browsers. 4. After all grades have been entered, click the Submit button. a. Any illegal grades (those noted with asterisks) must be changed before the system will allow the course grades to load. b. If grades have not been entered for a particular student(s), the system will post the message, Warning: You have # blank grades. Are you really done? i. If you are done entering grades, click OK. ii. If grades were not entered unintentionally, click Cancel in order to enter the grades. c. Once grades have been successfully loaded, a confirmation message will appear and the following options will be available:

i. If you need to load grades for more courses, enter the course to be processed and click the Find button. ii. To quit this program, click the Quit button. d. The output sheet will list the students’ names, ID numbers, and Midterm or Final grade that was entered.
