If the student cannot participate at all, daily points will not be earned. Points can be made up by a written assignment.  If you are medically excused from ALL P.E. activity for four or more weeks, you will be placed in study hall. You will not receive P.E. Required written assignments and projects:  Evaluation on dance routines: Several times during each semester you will have evaluations on routines you have learned. You will be scored on your effort, your knowledge of the routine, your growth, and over all performance. You will NOT be evaluated on your ability level. (50 pts)  Evaluation on technical skills: After learning and practicing a skill for a week or two you will have a test on your knowledge and performance of that skill. (20-50 pts)  Semester Final: In small groups, you will be required to choose a style of dance you would like to choreograph. You will need to pick music that will properly compliment the style you have chosen. You will then have to choreograph a 45-90 second dance of this style to your chosen music and design a costume to be worn. Along with choreographing your routine, you will be required to write a 3-4 page paper analyzing the music and costume you have chosen and the choreography you have done.
