Miss Hummingbird Festival Miss Middle West Georgia & Miss Magnolia 2018 Miss Eligibility Requirements

Miss Hummingbird Festival, Miss Middle West Georgia, and Miss Magnolia are OPEN pageants. Contestants must be: 1 must be a citizen of the United Sates of America 2 a single female between the ages of 17-24 3 a high school graduate or have successfully completed the G.E.D. testing program for high school equivalency or have successfully completed the academic requirements for entry into a four-year college/university degree program by July 30, 2018. 4 not less than 17 years of age on the date of the local pageant nor more than 24 years of age on December 31, 2018. 5 a permanent resident for at least six months, or a full-time student for at least one semester, or a full-time employee for at least six months in the State of Georgia

RESIDENCY - resided in the state of Georgia for a minimum of six months prior to entering a local preliminary pageant and has maintain such residence until the time of the Miss Georgia pageant is held. Proof will be a Georgia’s driver’s license, auto registration, current lease, student ID card or any other official document establishing residency. ------OR ------SCHOOL ATTENDANCE - must be a full time student at a college or university in the state of Georgia. This must be true for the current quarter and the previous quarter prior to competing in the local pageant. Proof will be evidence of registration, transcripts or other official documentation from the appropriate educational institution. ------OR ------EMPLOYMENT - have been a full time employee (40 hours a week) of a firm located within the state of Georgia for six months prior to entering the local pageant; must maintain such employment through the completion of the local, state and subsequently the national finals. (1) Eligible if the contestant reaches 13 years of age by the first day of the 2018 Miss State’s Outstanding Teen competition.

(2) This chart represents eligibility based on a potential contestant’s Age and Education. There are other eligibility requirements and rules including: Residency, Citizenship, Other Personal Characteristics, Contractual and Other Obligations, and any special requirements of the Local or State Organization. Refer to the current MAOTeen Application and Contract for Local and State Pageants for more detailed requirements.

(3) The last day that a local Miss pageant may be conducted in the State.

(4) In this case the contestant could also be a high school graduate or have received her G.E.D.

(5) In this case, the contestant must graduate from high school or receive her G.E.D. by the end of the Spring 2018 school year.
