Volunteer Opportunities Please review and pray about serving in this exciting ministry. Head or Assistant Basketball Coach Time commitment: 3 hours a week Impact the lives of children and have fun! Use your talents to teach game fundamentals as well as the value of sportsmanship, teamwork, integrity and respect for authority. Never coached before? Don't worry, we will provide you with all the training and resources necessary to teach the sport, share life lessons and coach your team. Head or Assistant Cheerleading Coach Time commitment: 3 hours a week If you have lots of spirit and love cheering on teams while they play the games, our Upward Sports™ league needs you! Make a lasting impact in the lives of children by volunteering to be a cheerleading coach. Referee Time commitment: 1-4 hours a week (on Saturdays) Did you play basketball growing up or have a great understanding of the game? If so, use this gift to make an impact in the lives of children as an Upward Sports™ referee. Player Evaluations Time commitment: 2-3 hours on Tuesday, November 15 Help with registration, uniform sizing or evaluations of basketball drills. Half-Time Devotions Time commitment: 10 minutes Share your testimony or use one of your talents in a short presentation during halftimes. Photographer/Videographer Time commitment: Flexible times over the course of the season. Document evaluations, practices, and games for the end-of-season celebration Volunteer Opportunities Prayer Partner Time commitment: 5 minutes a day for 100 days Will you partner with us through prayer as we seek God in every aspect of our Upward Sports™ league? We are in need of those who will be committed to praying each day for our Upward Sports™ season to change lives. Hospitality Greeters on Practice Nights and Game Days Time commitment: Approximately 2 hours/week practice, 2 hrs/wk game day Use your gift of hospitality to welcome players and families on practice nights and game days. Be attentive and assist families as needed. Training will be available before the season to help prepare for this vital ministry. Game Day Support Time commitment: 1-4 hours a week (on Saturdays) Help with set-up, clean-up, player line-ups before games, and assist with “crowd control” during games. Game Announcers/Scorekeeper/Time Clock Time commitment: 1-4 hours a week (on Saturdays) Game announcers help provide the Best Sports Experience by creating an atmosphere of fun and excitement on game day. Concessions Time commitment: 1-4 hours a week (on Saturdays) Help support our Upward Sports™ ministry by selling concessions at the games. You can impact the lives of parents and children through your hospitality and friendliness.
