PF Key Backup and Reload Procedures Quick Reference

It is important to backup your Programmed Function (PF) Keys when going through an upgrade. Your PF Keys can be saved to a floppy disk and then reloaded on your new equipment or they can be banked with the Sabre Host in Tulsa.

In the Sabre system, you may store 15 banks of 12 keys each.

Display a list of all of your personal PF key Banks PF*ALL

Step 1 - Create and identify a bank of PF Keys PFA(bank number)/I-(bank label) (Maximum 25 characters for the Bank Identifier) PFA1/I-MIKES KEYS

Step 2 - Describe your PF Key PFA(bank number)/(key number)D-(description) PFA1/2D-ASSIGN PRINTERS (Maximum 15 characters for description)

Step 3 - Label your PF Key PFA(bank number)/(key number)L-(four character label) PFA1/12L-PRNT (Maximum 4 characters for the label)

Step 4 - Enter a PF Key command PFA(bank number)/(key number)C-(PF Key command) PFA1/12C-^SRPPS1^E (The (^) represents the field key and is located on most keyboards to the left of the number "1".)

Download all the keys from a bank to your desktop PFL(bank number)/ALL PFL1/ALL

Download a specific key from a bank to your desktop PFL(bank number)/(key number in the host)(key number on your desktop) PFL1/12‡1

Copy PF Key bank to another agent sign PFC(bank number you wish to copy)/ALL‡(bank number you are copying to)/(line address where the other agent is signed in) PFC2/ALL‡2/7D4124

Display your PF Key bank PF*(bank number) PF*1

Display a list of host PF Key Banks PFH*ALL

Display additional PF Key formats and Help Y/SCS/PFK

Make sure you have a disk in your Floppy A Drive Make sure your disk is in the Floppy A Drive

Click on Start/Find/Files and Folders Open Sabre

In the space for “Named” type in *.PFK Click on Keys/Defining PF Keys. On the Defining PK Keys window, Click on File, then Open. In the “Look In” space select (C:) On the open file box, change the drive to A: Then click on “Find Now” You should see your files that you saved on the disk, A search will be performed and a list of .PFK files will appear. highlight the file name and then click OK Right Click with your mouse on the file you wish to save You are now back to the define PF Keys window. Click on Choose “Send To” and then 3 ½ Floppy A File the Save As. Make sure the drive says C: and click OK. Your file is now saved to the C drive of your set. Your files will then be saved to your disk.
