I am originally from Allentown, born and raised here all my life. I am very proud of my city and proud of the person that I have become. I have seen Allentown grow from a small town to what it is now, and I see great potential here. My family benefited through the years, as members of the Allentown work force during the boom years, at BellSouth/AT&T, Bethlehem Steel, and Mack Trucks. My family has experienced hard times as well. Today Allentown is on an upward growth path that is long overdue.
I’m applying for City Council because I believe that I can help this city. Allentown needs leaders who have the vision to move the city forward. I know that with change you will have serious decisions that may not be easy, but actions have to be done in order to achieve the goal. I have the strength to make tough decisions and do what is necessary, believe it or not, because of my experience with Little League. I can tell you that dealing with parent and children can be hard, especially when you are a volunteer, but I believe in personal integrity and I act with empathy and respect for everyone. It is important that leaders set the right example and show strong personal values every day.
My strongest personal qualities and strengths include the following:
I get things done and do what I say I will do I do not shy away from hard decisions I am results-oriented and I look for solutions I know how to create something out of nothing and make it grow I am a hard worker and I will fight for Allentown
I thank you for considering me as a candidate for the City Council vacancy and for taking the time to read the information that I have sent you. Please give me the opportunity to move forward in the application process and I will show you that I have what it takes to serve with the Council and improve our city.
