FIELDS OF TRAINING AND EXPERIENCES

1. Community Medicine and epidemiology, with lecturing and conducting practical field exercises for Medical students, Mosul Medical College. 2. Teaching practice of Family Medicine to sixth years medical students. 3. Conducting researches in the field of cancer epidemiology during my post-graduate study (1980- 1985).The training was directly supervised by Professor Sir Richard Doll (FRS) in the Cancer Epidemiology and Clinical Trails unit connected to the department of Community Medicine and General Practice, Oxford University. 4. General medical practice, especially Tropical Medicine and Hygiene, with teaching this subject to sixth year Medical students. 5. Supervising doctors conducting Diplomas (16 student), Master (12 students) and Ph.D. (3 students) Degrees in the Department of Community Medicine and (11students) for the Iraqi Board in Family and Community Medicine. 6. Teaching Post graduate courses in PHC, Communicable and non Communicable diseases, Epidemiology, and Family Medicine. 7. Teaching pharmaco-Epidemiology. College of Pharmacy; 8. Conducting researches in different discipline in Community medicine, Particularly Community based projects especially those related to Communicable and Non-Communicable disease and on evacuation of MOH program. 10. I have attended more than (50) national and international scientific meetings, workshops, and training courses in different aspects of Community Medicine during my career .The participation had included submitting scientific papers, sharing and/or chairing of scientific sessions.

COMMITIES

I have been a chairman and/or a member of several scientific and administrative committees in the Ministry of Health, Dohuk and Mosul Universities, Nineveh Governorate, Mosul Medical College and Dohuk College of Medicine (more than 50 in total during my career).

Moreover, and in addition to the students which I supervised, I have also participated in the examination committees of the Arab and Iraqi Boards of Family and Community Medicine in Iraq, Syria, UAE and Bahrain. Also in the examination committees for Ph.D., M.Sc. and Diploma students conducted in Iraq and in different universities in Kurdistan Region.
