LAUNCH OF PHASE 1 OF THE NEW NTB WEBSITE
Date: 28 October 2010
Time: 09h00 – 11h30
Venue: Hotel Thule, 1 Gorges St., Eros
The Namibia Tourism inboard, in partnership with MCA Namibia, hereby invites all tourism stakeholders to the launch of Phase 1 of the new NTB website.
NTB is a statutory body established by an Act of Parliament. Its main functions are to regulate and market tourism industry. NTB received funding from the Millennium Challenge Corporation through the Millennium Challenge Account Namibia (MCA Namibia) to replace its current website (www.namibiatourism.com.na) with a dynamic, interactive, relevant and attractive website which will act as the major portal for tourism in Namibia, attract new tourists and facilitate trip planning in six (6) languages namely, English, German, Spanish, Italian, French and Portuguese.
MMG Worldwide, the MCA Namibia contractor hired to develop the website on behalf of NTB, has now developed Phase 1 of the website and a listings database. In preparation for the launch of the new NTB website, All NTB Industry Partners received an email on Wednesday, 20 October 2010, to update their information to be published on the new NTB website. In the email NTB Industry Partners will find their username, password and a link to the login page.
The new website provides service providers and industry partners with their very own micro site and promotes them throughout the site in many areas. For example, the interactive map of Namibia shows the location of your business, photos, relevant descriptions, contact information and links to your website. If you would like to be listed on the new NTB website, you will need to update your information with NTB as soon as possible, in order to help potential visitors learn more about your business.
Seats are limited and stakeholders are urged to confirm attendance by Tuesday 26 October 2010 with Helena David: 061-410441 / 0812719272 / [email protected] or Hubert Nashenda 061-410453/ 0816069822 / [email protected]
