First Ever Cavalier Team Spirit Competition

Who? You. . . and the teachers at CHMS. What? Each day you will compete against the other teams in your grade level for points by raising money and participating in the daily activities that show your TEAM SPIRIT!!!! When? October 31st through November 4th!!! Where? Homeroom, electives, enrichment and the gym here at Community House! Why? To raise money for your team and bond with your teammates and team teachers!! Plus, it’s fun! How? Show your spirit by participating every day! Cavalier Team Spirit Competition Daily Schedule

Monday: Team Links and Crazy Sock Day

 During enrichment your homeroom teacher will have paper links for you to write positive messages to your teammates on. Your team will then link them all together. . . whichever team has the longest chain wins first place points! Each link costs 50 cents.

 Pay $1 to wear your craziest socks or tights! The team with the most participation wins first place points! Tuesday: It’s Mardi Gras!!!

 The teacher’s on your team will have Mardi Gras beads to sell for $2. They will match your team’s color. So you should only buy the color that represents YOUR team!!! Otherwise, you are giving points and money to the other team!!! The team who raises the most money wins first place points.

 Wear your beads all day. . . but don’t lose them!! Save them for Friday!! You’ll be allowed to wear them for the final day of competition!

 During enrichment your homeroom will watch a closed circuit presentation showing you the nine events taking place on Friday at The In-It-2-Win-It Games!

(There will be a sign up sheet for each event and the teachers on your team will decide who will represent your team in each event.) (Students can only participate once, in one event.) Wednesday: Your future is so bright, wear your shades to school day!!!

 Today you can pay $1 to wear your favorite or most funky sunglasses to school.

 You might even be selected by your teachers as a standout cavalier and receive a pair of special golden glasses!!! Thursday: Community House Super Bowl

 First, this is our last football home game, so show your CHMS spirit and dress head to toe in CHMS colors and spirit wear!

 Pay $1 to wear a hat to school!

 Watch two representatives from each team compete in the first ever, Cavalier Super Quiz Bowl. Grade level administrators to will host the quiz bowl and ask science and social studies themed questions. The winning teams get double points!!! Friday: Cavalier In-It-2-Win-It Games  During your grade level’s elective block, you will be called to down to the gym to sit with your team.

 On this day you should be wearing your TEAM COLORS. The team with the most participation receives first place points. You may also wear your beads that day.

 In the gym you will watch and cheer your team representatives on as they compete in the Cavalier In-It-2- Win-It Games.

 This is the final day of competition, points are given for each event. Score totals and winner will be announced before you leave for the day!!!
