-All CIP Formative Evaluation was due Jan. 31, 2014

-Campuses shared/expressed questions of their respective SIT committees.

-2014-2015 SISD Calendar DRAFT is now out. Teaching will continue until Dec. 19th and that NO flex day options would be included. Staff development opportunities would still occur at the beginning of the year but would not include a holiday exchange type option. Teacher calendar would remain 187. * Concern with half day dismissal /staff development, Full-day trainings would prove more beneficial for teachers due to the fact half day hinder the time available for staff development.

Olweus Bulling Questioner Survey Results from RHMS students:

The kind of bulling and locations were discussed.

Thanks to Mrs. Saenz for working on bring to El Paso the movie “Girl Rising” need to have 50 paid tickets by March 6 in order to have a showing locally. The movie will take place at Bassett Theaters and the cost is $10. Movie to show March 7 @ 7PM. Info is on RHMS web.

Faculty meeting: different evacuation procedures to be practiced w/o students

Students MUST wear ID at all times

Check – check – check visitors for badge ID or pass to be in the building  Attendance Data- Mr. Hood

Attendance on Feb. 19 was a high of 98.07% with six grade at 99% present.

Teachers don’t forget that the DAILY attendance sheets are now located in the mail room. Must be signed DAILY and DATED.

Important for ADA (average daily attendance) daily must be checked by teacher and it is being cross reference.

Example.. student is marked present for advisory BUT cross referenced and show absent all day. Then teacher signs DAILY and dates it. Please make sure to take accurate attendance-- it is very very mportant.

Teachers please continue to email absences for 3 consecutive days missed. Unexcused absences don’t seem to bother students.

Mrs. Retana has lots incentives for students/grade level with good attendance.

Incentive going on: Students that are present for the 3rd 9 weeks with NO ABSENCES will get the last 9 weeks of free dress.

 Benchmark Data Spring 2014 Benchmark results by grade level

Math 7th grade area of concern district high was 61% RHMS 64%

Reading: Congratulations 6th grade #1, 7th grade #2 and 8th grade came lower than predicterd

Science: district avg 63% and RHMS 63% team was 2 units behind but have now re-grouped and caught up to plan.

Social Studies: Awesome #3 place

Writing #7, teachers have now been attending training on Empowering Writiers

 AVID program coming to RHMS 2014-2015 school year. Will be used by all grade levels.

 El Dorado HS application now being accepted for AVID HS program.
