President Announcements: Reviewing other possibilities for a Spring Fundraiser.

Treasurer’s Report: Currently$43k assets, scholarships outstanding (approx. $13k), balance $28k. Carry over $10k in to Fall. One correction in profit/loss team basketball expense on bottom of pg 3 (net income close to $5k). Total loss on casino night $592.00. Will be looking at another fundraiser next year.

Membership – Kimberly Klopfenstein (Lori S) – New memberships from baseball and track. Currently at 121 members.

Spirit Items – Teresa Eddins (Tom L) – Teresa needs help with spirit sales, need co-chair. Have some inventory, need to start reviewing catalogs, need to start ordering soon. Coach Ramsey to review themes for spirit items, will send to Tom.

Sports Rep- Lisa Byars (Diane Urrutia) – Email sent out regarding summer camps and banquets to sports reps.

Programs – Janet Canon – Program from Brenham passed around. 3rd party (Media/2WG) that put this together, athletes are in several ads. Very nice program and promotes home town feel. Headshots to be done in May. Example of ad pricing high profile ads $1.5k adds are higher in cost but still in our price range, will not do business card size adds. Concerns - cost vs advertising, very personal. Deadlines will have to be met. Changes/additions more discussion needed. Resistance to photos, cooperation needed with coaches. Website will be set up where adds will be submitted. Positives, they have a great system, once you sign with them they take it and run with it, Janet and Lisa will be point persons for TABC, fee averages to 45%, should be a significant increase in ad sales, personal ads are higher than ours,

Janet also discussed Astro’s tickets. Concession Stand – Kim Born (Ryan Q & Lori S) Passed out Spring Concessions Sharing Program, review and to be discussed at next month’s mtg. Help needed to man concession stand this Sat 2p. Overall $12.5k, spent approx 6k, net $5.9k, historically $7k-$11k. New bbq pit needed, and a freezer.

Scholarship – Anna Dugger (Janet C) Names to Emily Nichols on 5/9 for the awards ceremony. Low number of applicants. Applications from every sport. Recommendation from board up to $15k,

Increase scholarship funds to $15k with max of $3k/applicant Motion by – Kim Born Second by – Al Biermann Motion Approved

Recognition – Shannon Marino (Ryan Q) – Lisa needs to send email to sports reps, sports reps need to let Shannon contact venue. Sports Reps DO NOT contact venues/food directly.

Website/Media ______(Tom L) Still looking for chairperson. Junior High Liason- ______(?) Getting info to jr high parents of activities at high school, communicating with junior high parents. Feeder program needed. Need to ensure Creekside included as well. Tara Woods to help with Creekside.

New topics –

By law review – Proposal made to change parliamentarian position to a 2nd VP, differentiation needed between 2 VP’s. New VP position to include Parliamentarian duties.

Coach Ramsey – Athlete going to state in pole vaulting, Ty Stafford. Baseball plays North Forest Friday. New purpose list reviewed. New athletic director next year. List primarily for sports starting in the fall. Balance $10,712
