Approval of Minutes  Motion to approve by Wilson, second by Doolittle; approved 16-0 VI. Approval of Agenda  Motion to approve by Gao, second by Krause; approved 16-0 VII. Motion to suspend the rules to allow the co-sponsorship to come before Public Forum by Scudieri, second by Klimas ; approved 16-0  Co-Sponsorship- Experiment Psychology Program i. Graduate Students in the counseling psychology department presenting at a conference this weekend. No funding from the department. ii. $150 per person to cover registration fee, 5 students, $750 total  Motion to enter debate (5 speakers 30 seconds) by Green, second by Regalado; approved 17-0 i. Green – Great way to get the Seton Hall name out in the world. Their research is obviously substantial and we should grant them the amount requested. ii. Wilson – Research is always good to co-sponsor and fund. I think it will benefit SHU. iii. Watts – We should give them the full amount, we have been very smart with our co-sponsorship funding this semester and should continue that. iv. Ashe – We should fund them. v. Howard – Small amount comparing it to everyone else and it’s a good cause.  Motion to enter voting procedure by Regalado, second by Doolittle; approved 17-0 i. President’s Report  Proud of progress senate has been making  Arts and Sciences senators see me after the meeting  Student Life will be surveying outside of the gym for times people are leaving  Had a positive meeting with CFO Graham regarding budgets  SGA Meetings are now on the Hall Happenings calendar.  Met with Garcia and Signorello to discuss Dining Hours  State of the Village with Mayor Torpey  Had a meeting about recycling, which has been a big issue throughout the SHU community this year. We met to put all of the efforts into one joint effort so there are not a million campaigns at one time.  TLTR Committees have student seats open. Email Joey or Tim if you are interested in sitting as a member of one.  We need to investigate a graduate council. We’ve had graduate students asking about issues that are beyond our power.  Have been in correspondence regarding the 3+2 issue. Will hopefully have more information on that for you within the next two meetings.  It is imperative that committees wrap up all initiatives.  Spread the word about elections to get other involved with Student Government.  Spoke to the former president of SAA and they will be discussing how to help SGA with Spirit Week. XII. Treasurer’s Report XIII. Speaker’s Report  Student Leadership Conference is March 28th, 9:30 -3:30 and anyone who is interested in SGA must attend.  It would be ideal to have younger members on TLTR committees so they would be able to remain on the committee long term.  Next interest session is Thursday the 12th at 5PM and everyone must attend if they wish to run for SGA. The last one is February 18th at 6PM. See the flyers or email Joseph Puleo with any questions. XIV. Committee Report  Student Life i. Will be tabling Monday–Friday 8PM-10PM to get the number of people who leave the gym at specific times to aid in our initiative to expand gym hours. ii. Scheduling a meeting with GDS to discuss recycling. iii. Will meet by the end of the month regarding the Green Initiative iv. Spirit Week will be in two weeks. The winner of the most spirit will get reserved front row seats for the following Men’s Basketball Game. v. Student Life will hold a dorm storm to boost morale for spirit week and will also be holding a window decorating contest to build school pride, with incentive for winners.  Academic Affairs i. If anyone is interested in TLTR committees, see Tim or Joey ii. Waiting to hear back from administration on Honor Code Task Force iii. Looking to have a visiting lecturer series iv. Looking to tackle some issues with contacting ad-hoc professors in the Foreign Languages Department.  Finance i. January 15 1. Psychology Club – Eastern Psychological Association Conference a. State of the Village is February 23rd at 8:30 PM ii. IACAC sent email about open seat, contact Morgan if interested. iii. A teacher from South Orange Middle School reached out for volunteers for an event on Wednesday, February 25. They need to fill three time slots 8am to 2pm to run a scavenger hunt with Middle School children iv. Next meeting Wednesday 815 outside faculty lounge XV. Old Business XVI. Announcements  Green – Thursday at 8PM in the Diplomacy Room in McQuaid, Women of Diplomacy Leadership Program will be hosting the Women in International Relations Panel (food and stories will be shared)  Doolittle – PUSH and APO are working with Boy Scouts in the Rec Center this Thursday and are looking for volunteers.  Weinman – February is heart health awareness month.
