JAN 12 Our Tour begins with a pickup at 10:00am from Scots College 1 Monorgan Rd, Strathmore Park, Wellington. We travel along the East coast to the art deco city of Napier where we stay the night
JAN 13 Today travel across the Napier Taupo road to the beautiful Lakeside town of Taupo. We visit Huka Falls and have the opportunity to Jet boat on the Waikato River. This afternoon we drive North to the thermal capital of New Zealand Rotorua.
JAN 14 This morning we visit the Geysers, boiling mud, a cultural concert and New Zealand’s native bird the Kiwi at Te Puia, before an action packed afternoon. We take the gondola up Rotorua’s highest peak and luge to the bottom.
JAN 15 Today we have some options
OPTION 1 SHWEEB: A Human powered monorail racetrack Take on your friends and see who has the best pedal power $85 (two rides)
OPTION 2 Zipline: During your 3 hour Canopy Tour we will guide you through this magical place on a 1.2 kilometre network of 6 zip lines, swing bridges and treetop platforms up to 22 metres high in the Canopy of our ancient native forest. $149
OPTION 3 SELF DRIVE RAILCARTS: Travel through the beautiful Dansey Scenic Reserve on the steep 1:35 gradient railway in your own self-drive RailCruiser between Mamaku and Tarukenga return. With stunning lake views and rolling farmland, the 360° views from your RailCruiser makes this trip the ultimate railway experience. ( No drivers licenses needed ) $76
Or you may wish to have a relaxing day in Rotorua JAN 16 As we head north to Auckland we stop at Matamata in the rural Waikato and visit Hobbitton, the movie set where the Lord of the Rings and Hobbitt movies were made.
JAN 17 Today we visit the syktower and take in the 360 degree views of Auckland city the’ City of Sails’ We take the opportunity for any last minute shopping and a swim at Mission Bay beach.
JAN 18 Today you leave our beautiful country to make your way home.
