Mr Schmid Was Accompanied by the Representative of German Embassy in Russian Federation

On the 28-29th of April 2009 Tambov region was visited by the Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany in Russian Federation Mr Walter Jurgen Schmid. Mr Schmid was accompanied by the representative of German Embassy in Russian Federation and the delegation of German business circles - representatives of building and machine-building branches and of spheres of services, interested in establishing and developing business cooperation with Tambov region. The delegation was headed by the representative of the Russian-German Foreign trade chamber. The official part of the program started on the 28th of April with business mission: meetings and negotiations took place of representatives of Tambov companies (OJSC "Pigment", OJSC "Tambovmash", OJSC «Tambov factory «Komsomolets», Llc. "Profil-stroj", Llc “Strojstal” (Tambov Factory of Metal Constructions), OJSC "Orbita", OJSC "Takf”, Bureau of attorneys “Pronin and Partners”, OJSC “Kotovsky Varnish-and-paint Factory”, Building company "Vertical", OJSC “Strojtechnology Service”, Tambov branch of OJSC “Registrator ROST”) with German enterprises (“Enke Werk-Johannes Enke”, Scientific industrial corporation CJSC “Elevar”, “Alexandrov and Partners”). In the result of the business mission agreements on further cooperation and realization of joint projects were achieved. SIC CJSC "Elevar" expressed their wish to cooperate with OJSC “Kotovsky Varnish-and-paint Factory” on automation of technological process and purchase of paints, with OJSC «Tambov factory «Komsomolets» on joint projects, with OJSC "Orbita" - on introduction of new technologies, with the building company "Vertical" - in the questions of construction contract. “Alexandrov and Partners” showed their interest in cooperation in the form of legal and financial support of projects of companies OJSC "Takf”, the Bureau of attorneys “Pronin and Partners”, Llc. “Strojstal TFMC”, the building company "Vertical". Within the framework of the visit the Ambassador met the head of Tambov region administration O.I.Betin; the parties discussed the state and prospects of cooperation development between Tambov region and Germany. The presentation of Tambov region took place where representatives of the regional Duma, executive government bodies, institutions of local government and higher educational establishments of the region were present. The presentation submitted to the visitors the information on economic and investment potential of the region. The culmination moment of the event was signing the intentions protocol between the German company “Mahler AGS GmbH” and the OJSC "Pigment" of Tambov region on cooperation in the sphere of modernization and establishment of chemical manufactures. The Ambassador and members of German delegation visited the Closed Joint-Stock Company "ТАМАК" and Closed Joint-Stock Company "Isoroc" - enterprises of building branch established with the participation of German investments, being an example of successful cooperation with German companies. Visitors were shown the manufactures and produced goods, met the management of CJSC "ТАМАК" and CJSC "Isoroc" and one of the shareholders - Mr. Schwegmann. The visit schedule included visiting the Tambov State University named after G.R.Derzhavin, meetings with the rector of TSU V.M.Juriev, the head of the educational center of the German cultural center named after Goethe - E.V.Miloserdova, with the graduates of the German programs of academic exchanges who shared their experience of participation in such projects and told about further prospects of their professional development. The Ambassador and members of the German delegation participated in the work of the round table “Experience of scientific, educational and cultural contacts within the framework of the dialogue “Russia-Germany”. The final part of the program was the concert performed by the students and teachers of the Tambov state musical-pedagogical institute named after S.V.Rakhmaninov and the meeting of Mr Walter Jurgen Schmid with it’s rector A.S.Bazikov. In the course of the meetings and negotiations the both parties expressed their intention to continue development of mutually beneficial relations between Germany and Tambov region in various spheres. One month later a letter from the President of Russian-German Chamber of Commerce Mr Michael Harms addressed to the head of Tambov region administration Oleg Betin was received by the region’s administration tendering thanks for the support in organizing the visit of economic delegation from the Chamber of Commerce. Mr Harms marks the positive results of the visit and asks the governor to pass thanks to the head of the department of international and interregional relations of the region Oleg Kadykov and the specialists of his department and to the President of Tambov regional Chamber of Commerce Nicolay Kalinov for their high professionalism in organizing and conducting the visit. The information about the visit and its results will be given to all 630 members of the Russian- German Chamber of Commerce and other German companies working in Russia.
