Carlson Tennis Camps Bringing Quality Tennis Instruction and Fun to Your Hometown!

Carlson Tennis Camps are in their 14th year of bringing quality tennis instruction all across Minnesota. Jon Carlson has been the women’s tennis coach at Gustavus Adolphus College for the past 19 years. A two-time winner of the National Coach of the Year award, Jon’s teams have won 17 Conference Championships and currently have a 174 match win streak within the conference. Jon’s overall record as a coach is 381-110. Coach Carlson has led his teams to 3-fourth place finishes in the nation,1-third place, 2- second place, and one NCAA National Championship. Coach Carlson has had 21 All- Americans. A popular clinician, Jon brings his combination of expert instruction and sense of fun to every camp.

Assistant Director Scott Larsen has been one of the top players in Minnesota over the past 10 years. Scott has coached at Sartell high school and is currently in his third year as head coach at the College of St. Benedict after being an assistant for the previous five years. Scott was awarded the 2006 USTA/ITA Community Service Award for his involvement in many community programs. Rounding out the staff will be Gustavus collegiate players and College of Saint Benedict Players.

Included in the camp will be stroke fundamentals, including video analysis, as well as strategies for match play in both singles and doubles.
