.UNO Founders Program Application Form

Dot Latin LLC is the Registry Operator for the .UNO top level domain (“Registry Operator”); the new domain extension that offers you a truly global, recognizable and credible option in branding your Internet presence.

The .UNO Founders Program is an initiative designed to engage early adopters, also known as “.UNO Founders,” to proactively develop and maintain domains with the .UNO extension prior to the public launch anticipated in January 2014. This is a tremendous opportunity for Applicants to secure memorable domain names, while getting a jump on the competition by developing their .UNO domains before the masses.

Please note that capitalized terms not defined herein shall have the meanings ascribed to them in the .UNO Founders Program Terms and Conditions published on Registry Operator’s website at the following URL: http://www.unodominio.com/terms.pdf, such terms govern all aspects of the .UNO Founders Program (the “Terms and Conditions”).

Objectives

Registry Operator’s objective for the .UNO Founders Program is to identify Applicants to proactively develop and maintain domains with the .UNO extension prior to the public launch anticipated in January 2014. .UNO Founders will help to build credibility for the .UNO domain extension and provide critical third party support and proof points for media messaging, marketing materials and web content throughout the .UNO Launch.

Application Deadline

.UNO Founder Applications may be submitted from September 11, 2013 through midnight EST on December 15, 2013. Applicants must submit one (1) electronic copy (in either PDF or Microsoft Word format) and two (2) hard copies, separately bound and clearly labeled “Application for .UNO Founders Program.”

Additional attachments may be included to substantiate or otherwise lend support to your proposal, or if you need more than the space allotted to answer the questions. Applications must be submitted in both hard copy and electronic format before the deadline.

All Applications shall be deemed “submitted” upon Registry Operator’s actual receipt of both hard and electronic copies. Registry Operator reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to reject Applications that are received after the submission deadline and/or are deficient, incomplete, do not comply with the Terms and Conditions or would not be in the best interest of .UNO, at the Registry Operator’s sole discretion.

The Application must be in English or Spanish and clearly address all topics set forth in this Application Form. Answers should contain sufficient detail to enable Registry Operator to make an informed assessment of the Applicant’s Proposed Plan and its ability to execute such plan. Where specific questions are asked, individual and factual replies must be given, not general answers or references to sales literature, websites or other marketing materials not included with the Application.

Each copy of the Application must include the Applicant’s Certification (located at the end of the Application Form), signed by a person or persons with the power and authority to bind the Applicant with respect to this Program.

1. Please indicate the .UNO domain name you propose to develop as a .UNO Founder, and up to three alternative domain name options for the same proposed project. Before selecting a relevant domain name, please check WHOIS.UNO to determine whether the proposed domain name is restricted or otherwise unavailable.

2. Briefly describe the reason for your interest in developing this domain name. This answer should contain your mission statement, proposed audience and general concept overview. Specifically, what is your vision for developing the domain name?

3. Do you currently have ties to the Latin or Hispanic Communities, or are you wishing to expand your market into those areas? Please explain any current marketing efforts targeted to those communities, or your interest in expanding into those markets. This answer should contain any multi-lingual processes you currently have in place or products targeted specifically to those communities?

4. How do you plan to develop this domain name? Please be specific about how you will use the domain name, what you will develop, and the desired end user experience for the domain name.

5. How will your proposed plan help to raise broad general awareness of the .UNO domain extension or otherwise benefit users of .UNO domain names in the broader .UNO community?

6. What is the timeframe within which you plan to develop and launch your domain name from the time we accept your application? Applicants who can develop and launch domain names within thirty (30) days of acceptance will be given special consideration. In all cases, to qualify for this program, the domain name must be developed and launched before December 15, 2013.

Section 3: Marketing Commitment

1. Describe your target audience. How is your target audience associated with or connected to potential buyers of .UNO domain names?

2. How do you plan to market your developed web site and to generate broad-based interest and usage of the site over time?

3. What amount (in United States dollars) are you willing and able to commit per year for your marketing and/or advertising budget to help promote your web site once developed?

4. What are some examples of joint marketing efforts you might pursue with the Registry Operator that would be a good match for your proposal to help promote both your web site and the broader .UNO domain extension (e.g. joint press releases, co-sponsorship of events, products/services featuring .UNO domain names, various co-branding or sponsorship opportunities, and/or other creative collaborations)? Feel free to be creative.

Section 4: Technical and Operational Capabilities

Please explain your technical and operational plan to develop your proposed .UNO domain name, specifying resources to be deployed and the relevant experience of such resources. It would also be helpful to include an overview of your Internet or related experience. You must be able to demonstrate adequate operational support in developing and marketing the proposed domain name, as well as the requisite technical capacity and commitment from your team in support of this proposed project.

Please note that, absent some other compelling value, Applications proposing usage of .UNO domains for websites that do not consist of substantially all original content (e.g. redirects or mirror sites) will be rejected.

Section 5: Financial Condition

Also, please explain how you will demonstrate this commitment and capability to Registry Operator (e.g. by providing financial and/or bank statements, tax returns, etc.).

Section 6: .UNO Community Impact

The main goal of the .UNO Founders Program is to raise the broad general awareness of the .UNO domain name extension and to generate interest and enthusiasm in .UNO domains. Please explain how your participation as a .UNO Founder (including the services or content you will provide or develop) will contribute to the broader .UNO community of users.

BY SIGNING BELOW, THE APPLICANT’S SUBMISSION OF AN APPLICATION SHALL BE DEEMED AN EXPRESS REPRESENTATION, WARRANTY, AND CERTIFICATION BY THE APPLICANT THAT:

. The Applicant has read, understands and agrees to be bound by the terms and instructions set forth in this Application Form and the rest of the Terms and Conditions, and is aware of all applicable facts, conditions, requirements and obligations pertaining to the Application Process and participation in the Program as a .UNO Founder, including, without limitation, the specific launch date, marketing and reporting obligations;

. Applicant has all rights and authorizations necessary to submit its Application to Registry Operator (including all contents thereof), and nothing contained therein infringes upon the rights of any other person or entity;

. All information and representations provided by the Applicant to Registry Operator (in the Application or otherwise), are current, complete, reliable, and accurate;

. The Applicant will update its Application in the event that it discovers any errors or that material changes occur affecting the completeness, reliability or accuracy of information contained in the Application; AND

. The Applicant understands and acknowledges that, if its Application is approved, it must agree to and sign the Program Agreement before it will be considered a .UNO Founder and receive a license to use the Approved Domain.
