Question: So what’s the story behind your name?
My real name is Denny, please do not listen to Lisa. When I was born my parents told the doctor to write Danny but with a korean accent the doctor thought Denny....they approved. When I was in kindergarten I found it weird that everyone in my class named Danny was named Danny, thus I went home and told my mom I was changing my name to Danny instead of Danny. From that point to the age of 17 when I was getting my license I needed my birth certificate and SS card and I found out my name was really Denny. When I applied to all my colleges I put Denny thus when I started school I became Denny. Till this day, pre-college friends call me Danny and college and older everyone calls me Denny. You can call me Denny...or Danny...just don't call me Den.
Question: What are some of your interests?
I've been playing hockey since I could remember, my aunt and uncle bought me my first pair of skates when I was 7. I haven't looked back since. The picture is a recent photo of my team and the championship trophy (I know what you're thinking, that's a really small trophy).
I graduated from Penn State, I originally started as an Architecture Major but my mother threw out my portfolio my sophomore year which caused me to change my major. I proceeded to Finance, then Kinesiology, and then eventually graduated with a Hotel Restaurant Institutional Management Degree. So if anyone ever needs someone to design your home, invest your money, physically train you, or teach you how to cook...I'm your man.
My real passion is cooking, unfortunately that does not really coincide with my lifestyle...which is actually having one. I will never regret working in a restaurant to begin my career after college because it's taught me more than any of my other jobs combined.
If I could go back working Monday through Friday, I would do it in a heartbeat. My favorite dish is spaghetti and meatballs. I can make an awesome Raspberry Tiramisu. Unfortunately, I do not have the time to cook as much as I want to but maybe someday my future wife will enjoy it.
Question: What do you do for a living?
I currently work for Bank of New York Mellon in Somerset NJ as a Alternative Investment Associate. I mainly work for Hedge Fund/Portfolio managers with stocks and stuff. I like working in the financial world and I am currently looking for a job in the city (if anyone has any connections).
Other random facts:
My sister asked me to point out that I'm a single dude. Sooooo if anyone's interestedddddddd.
Speaking of dude, many people at work think I'm from California because of my tone and the way I speak, carefree I guess? I don't deny them, I just nod my head.
When I listen to music I rarely listen to the lyrics, I usually listen to the drums. I will never be able to sing along to my favorite songs word by word.....
I have 4 best friends, all that I grew up since I was in elementary school, they're all italian which is why I believe I have chest hair.
My chest hair spells the letter "Y".
I once ate 20 tacos from taco bell in one sitting. I gained 5 pounds that day.
My favorite movie is Serendipity...seriously
Did I mention I was a single dude?
I will always appreciate Sojourner Presbyterian Church and how much it has affected my life.
I love my friends and my family to death, even though they can really grind my gears at times I know that God has put them in my life for a reason.
