Xi Psi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated will host its 18th Annual Cotillion Ball at the Sheraton Anchorage Hotel on Saturday, May 15, 2010 at 7:00 P.M. The Cotillion Ball is our annual fundraiser. All proceeds will be used to provide academic scholarships and community service awards to deserving Anchorage youth and programs. We would be honored to have you join us in our efforts to encourage and reward academic excellence in the Anchorage Community.

Since the mid-eighties Xi Psi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. has awarded scholarships to high school students in our community. Many of the past recipients have gone on to successfully complete post secondary education and have become productive members of our community. We appreciate your support and request your assistance in helping us continue this tradition.

We would like very much to include you in our souvenir booklet. A copy of the booklet is made available to each Cotillion Ball attendee. The souvenir booklet offers the opportunity to have your advertisement viewed by several hundred people for a very nominal fee. Our Tax I.D. number is listed below.

Attached are forms to assist with selecting the size of your advertisement. Please include us in your

Dear Advertiser, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Xi Psi Omega Chapter’s goal is to provide youth in our community with the opportunities and resources for personal and professional development. There are two ways in which we accomplish this goal yearly, through our Progressive Teen Mentorship Program and our Annual Cotillion Ball fundraiser.

As mentors for the young ladies, we guide them in gaining a deeper knowledge in areas of personal development, academic and social development. At the completion of the Progressive Teen Mentorship Program the young ladies are presented to society during our Cotillion Ball. The 2010 Miss Progressive Teen is crowned at this event.

The Cotillion Ball is a fundraiser to support community service activities and deserving high school students in their pursuit of higher education. The ticket sales and advertisements purchased for our souvenir booklet are both ways in which we are able to provide scholarships. We are asking for your support in this effort to provide the youth in our community the resources for professional development. We thank you for your support!
