I. WELCOME/SIGN IN

II. REVIEW/APPROVAL OF PREVIOUS MINUTES - De La Nuez, Nester

III. SCHOOL RECOGNITION FUNDS - A+ money - 2 proposals + none of the above. Teams discussed proposals and submitted them to the suggestion box. Proposals will be up for review in the work room. If none of them pass an emergency SAC meeting will be proposed for revote. All information must be loaded to the district by February 1. Proposals include: Proposal A – 80% of the funds will go to instructional, 20% will go to non-instructional Proposal B – 100% of the funds will be divided equally amongst instructional and non-instructional staff. Proposal C – None of the above

IV. CURRICULUM CONVERSATIONS Nancy Cedeno – SAC and SAF will now be separate meetings. SAF will be held immediately following the SAC meeting. More documentation is being required to show involvement with new families and community members.

Kindergarten: Kim Gonzalez – math - concepts of addition, reading - concepts of print. Reading gingerbread stories for compare and contrast, sequencing. Finishing matter and everglades unit. Holiday show coming up December 16.

Grade 1: Ana Erminy – Finished PLC story Structure. Completed Stellaluna. Facts and families in math. Chapter 5. Writing – Using narrative. SS – Geopgraphy and maps. Corrolates with holidays around the world. Field Trip – High Touch High Tech. Historical Society Ft. Lauderdale

Grade 2: Nancy Rothbard - regrouping in adition and subtraction in math. PLC – compare and contrast and theme. Native American Feast. SS – Immigration. Science – Force and Motion. High Touch High Tech Field Trip.

Grade 4: Liz De La Nuez – Division & Multiplication Strategies. DBQ on everglades. Shark Valley in February. Writing – base Line test in one week. Achieve 3000 – using reports. STEM, SS – elections, PLC – Text Structure.

Grade 5: Mercy Jacobson – Disney Trip, Theme in a story, vocabulary in context, song lyrics. Writing Fables and preparing for 5th grade writing test. Science – Structure of all living things. SS – Biz Town. Math – multiplying and dividing with decimals & coding.

Principal: David Martin – playground is under construction. BOND work around school - Starting now until November 2017. Work will be done after school hours and evening. Original plan was to leave sand under equipment. Restructured ballet of the bond and shift around. The entire are will be covered in rubber. Should be completed by Saturday December 10. Thank you for everything for what you are doing. Thank you to Pierre and Schotta for grounds looking great. Visitors From Gwinett County, GA impressed by LIA program.

VI. NEW BUSINESS FROM MEMBERS Thank you to Kindergarten and First grade for a smooth Career Day. Hoping for the Bomb Squad for 2nd and 3rd. Mrs. Walkers brother (retired NASA) presenting for 4th and 5th.
