Good Morning Favorite Students!

Welcome to the first full week of the school year! I hope you are all doing well adjusting to the high school and to your classes. It certainly seems like it!

How was your weekend? I had a great weekend! I went to visit my son Brandon in Atlanta, Georgia. Georgia is in the

South and is famous for peaches. It is also the birth place of President Jimmy Carter and civil rights leader Martin

Luther King Jr. Brandon is a graduate student at Emory University. Mr. Sibilia and I got to meet his new girlfriend.

Her name is Jennifer and she is very nice.

One of the big things this weekend was the start of the professional football season. The “home team” in this area is the Philadelphia Eagles. They won this weekend! College football is also a favorite past time for many Americans. In fact, in Atlanta they just built the College Football Hall of Fame. The Phillies are our professional baseball team. They are finishing their season and unfortunately they are not doing very well.

Do you like to eat Chick-Fil-A? I just read that the founder of Chick-Fil-A passed away on Sunday. He certainly built quite a business. I also read that Prince William and his wife Kate are expecting another baby! Everyone is interested in royalty even if we do not live in England.

Well, we have lots to do this week! Your Glogster project is due on Friday. I spent some time on the phone with

Glogster and it should be working now. We will also set up our binders and get started with some stories.

Thanks for being great students!

Love,

Mrs. Sibilia
