Secrets on the Lake Wedding Packages

Secrets is an ideal venue for smaller weddings, vow renewals or elopements. We love groups from 20 guests up to and no more than 80 guests for a canapé reception or 75 including the bridal party for a sit down style. Bride & Groom must be guests of Secrets and certain minimum bookings apply. See below for the different packages. The garden wedding site is only available in the daytime and events must be wrapped up an hour before dark. Full Ceremony Costs Midweek $1,100, Friday / Sunday $1,300 and Saturday $1,500 (until 31 December 2018) Midweek $1,100, Friday /Sunday $1,350 and Saturday $1,500 (until 31 December 2019)

 Guarantees exclusive access to the “The Secrets Garden”, or in the case of wet weather the Lakehouse  Assistance from our wedding co-ordinator Susan Lyle  Assistance from Secrets staff  Pre-ceremony drinks of homemade Secrets fruit punch and water.  Two and a half hours of access to your wedding site from 10am, in winter must be by finished by 4.30pm and in summer by 5.30pm  Includes 10 Italian white padded folding chairs.  Signing table with special white cloth  Bowl of short stem roses on the signing table  Bottle of special sparkling wine and set of complimentary Secrets monogrammed champagne memorabilia glasses in your honeymoon cabin  Sound system (you arrange your own music)  People getting ready at Secrets on the Lake normally require larger accommodation to do this such as The Nest, or the Whistle Stop  A minimum of two cabins must be booked, one of which one must be Two Frogs as it is very close to the pathway to the garden and guests may be disturbed by your wedding  In general Secrets has a policy of a minimum of two night bookings over the weekend, this may be relaxed on Sunday or Thursday if a larger number of cabins are booked. Long weekends mandatory 3 night stays.

Wedding Ceremonies Only with no reception booked will incur an extra fee of $500 Similar accommodation requirements apply 2 cabins for 2 nights. Majority of guests to be brought by bus to Secrets. And then to the venue for reception. e.g. By Mystic Mountain Tours. Maximum of 2 hours from the ceremony. e.g. wedding time 2.30pm finish 4.30pm Guests enter the Secrets Garden no more than half an hour before. Use of the Lakehouse only if wet weather. Simple bunting decorations, vase of roses, cloth on the signing table included in the price along with a glass of fruit punch prior to the ceremony. It is customary that guests receive a drink after the ceremony and either crudités, dips or cheeses OR canapés served. A bar tab is usually charged.

Susan Lyle – Wedding Coordinator Susan Lyle, our Wedding Manager has over 20 years of experience in event management. Susan will be available to discuss all your specific details to ensure your event runs seamlessly. Susan’s services for the ceremony are included in the venue hire. However, she is able to arrange all aspects of your wedding day with her team of local professionals including celebrants, photographers, florists, hair and makeup artists as well as specialty decoration hire. For additional services not included in the venue hire Susan is very willing to help, but there would be an additional charge.

Take advantage of the midweek by saving money on an excellent photographer and the best celebrants in the area. Mini Weddings including Vow Renewals (Do it Yourself Option) (This is for 12 guests (including Bride & Groom) or less Additional guests at $100 per head.  $500 on top of the accommodation rate. Couple must be staying at Secrets  Two hours of access to our wedding site from 10am  In winter must be finished by 4.30pm and in summer by 5pm  You can choose any available part of the grounds for your ceremony or on your deck  It costs an extra $500 to use the Lakehouse unless it is raining  Full ceremonies have precedence to use the Secrets Garden, there are other lovely intimate spots to choose from as well  You can hire equipment from us to support your ceremony  Location must be left in an immaculate state  Chairs and tables are not to be moved as they are heavy and could cause injury

Elopements (This is for 4 guests or less)  $325 on top of the accommodation rate. Couple must be staying at Secrets  It is a service provided for guests who wish to elope while staying with us. This is for a couple with their two witnesses only. Additional guests at $50 per head.  This needs to be booked in advance, Secrets needs to be fully briefed about the plan  You can choose any available part of the grounds for your ceremony or on your deck  Full ceremonies have precedence to use the Secrets Garden, there are other lovely intimate spots to choose from as well  You can hire equipment from us to support your ceremony  Location must be left in an immaculate state so as not to incur additional cleaning fee.  George and Aldy are happy to be witnesses, but there will be a fee if staff are required  Chairs and tables are not to be moved as they are heavy and could cause injury or damage to the floor.

After your Ceremony in the gardens a minimum of 3 Serves per person. For your Reception a minimum of 8 serves per person. For Canapé Receptions only in the gardens or the Lakehouse and Service charges apply. $20 per person for over 50 guests – $25 per person for over 30 guests – $30 per person under 30 guests. This charge includes cakeage -portioned and served on a plate with serviette. Numbers under 20 special arrangements will need to be made. Cut off is based on adult numbers only.

For groups of no more than 15 a BBQ (presented on platters) in The Nest can be delivered $55 pp (Do it Yourself Style Option) Informal Service – Lakehouse – Simple rustic tables  Guests are served from a generous buffet of barbecue meats by our staff.  They can help themselves to salads and breads from covered buffet tables.  Guests may choose whatever they would like from the four selections.

Formal Service – Available in the Cafe  The buffet tables are set up with white linen cloths.  The food is placed in heated chafing dishes and then served by our uniformed staff  Guests may choose whatever they would like from the four selections.  There’s no limit on amounts of food they may have.  What and How to Choose?  Look through our extensive menu and decide on three main course barbecue choices and then choose your vegetarian/vegan option.  Choose your three salad dishes.  Choose a hot vegetable dish.  Baskets of French bread & local salted butter are included.

We invite you to come and visit our beautiful Secrets Garden, check out our Lakehouse and enjoy a tour or one of our treehouses. Call our office on 07 5478 5888 and arrange an inspection. One of our staff will then give you a tour. Best time for this is before check in time, which is usually between 11am and 1pm.

While you are here perhaps you would like to sample out food in our Café on the Deck as it will give you an idea of the standard of food to expect to be served for a wedding reception or after ceremony canapés. Having made your decision to get married here, we will do a quote based on what you have talked about and email it to you. You then have time to consider it and once you have made a final decision, we will require a deposit and Agreement Form signed and returned. The agreement form is at the end of the terms and conditions. At this point we pass your details to Susan Lyle who helps you with your arrangements and eventually you will be able to sign off on your even order which we then follow to the letter on your special wedding day.

The Wedding Planner

Our Wedding Planner has many weddings to plan and will be as timely as possible Maximum of 2 onsite meetings where the event order for the wedding and reception is planned in detail. After this minor details can be negotiated by phone internet. You personally can visit the gardens with prior notice to avoid arriving when another event is currently being held. An event order must be completed and signed off with committed numbers by 2 weeks before the event. All final payments are required at this time. Chefs do not begin preparations until all monies have been paid.
