New date set for the 5th Annual Trinity River Wind Festival Saturday, Oct 24, 2015

WHAT: The 5th Annual Trinity River Wind Festival has been rescheduled for Saturday, October 24 from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The festival is a unique City of Dallas event that celebrates the Trinity River, the great outdoors and the power of wind. Activities will be held throughout the day at the Dallas Floodway at Riverfront Blvd. and Commerce Street. All activities for the Trinity River Wind Festival are free, parking and food for a fee.

The free event offers a number of family attractions such as Troy Gunn and Team TKO International Stunt Kite Flyers, Gayle Woodul and Christian Baden Powell and their big inflatable kites, Dallas Area Kite Flyers Association, wild birds and Dallas Zoo animals, bounce houses, face painters, City of Dallas free kite giveaway, North Texas Hang/Para Gliding Association, and many other attractions.

Trinity River Wind Festival highlights:

 Public Kite Flying  Blackland Prairie Raptor Center (rehabilitated raptors)  Trinity River Audubon Center (homing pigeons)  Texas Discovery Gardens butterfly display and crafts  Alma y Corazon Tejano Ballet Folklorico  Kid’s Fun Zone  Kid’s mini train rides  Japanese Kite Making Booth – (kites from Sendai, Japan)  Lee Fairchild’s International Award Winning Frisbee Dogs  Wildflower Planting  Paper airplane making and contest  Booths: food vendors, kite vendors, Sprint, Coca-Cola product giveaway, City departments, and City mascots

**Public parking is available at parking lots at Riverfront Blvd. and Commerce St. ($4 - $6 per car).
