Penn Brewery Names Wilsbach Distributors and Nittany Beverage As 2015’s Penn Beer Wholesalers of the Year

Pittsburgh, PA – February 18 Penn Brewery is pleased to announce its recognition of Wilsbach Distributors and Nittany Beverage as its 2015 Wholesalers of the Year. “We are delighted to recognize Wilsbach and Nittany Beverage with these awards,” said George Marsico, Vice President of Sales for Penn Brewery. “These wholesalers have worked in true partnership with Penn to grow sales and build brand distribution in their respective regions.” Penn names a Wholesaler of the Year in two categories: “new,” wholesalers selling the Penn brand for six or fewer years, and “heritage,” wholesalers selling Penn for over six years. Harrisburg, Pennsylvania-based Wilsbach Distributors earned the award in the new wholesaler category, growing year-on-year dollar sales by over 53 percent in 2015. Wilsbach has distributed Penn beers in seven counties in central Pennsylvania since 2009 and has broadly grown the brand’s distribution during that time. Jess Horn, Brand Manager for Wilsbach, accepted the award at a ceremony at Penn Brewery on February 4. Nittany Beverage of State College, Pennsylvania, earned the award in the heritage category, with impressive year-on-year dollar sales growth of over 28 percent. Nittany Beverage sells Penn beer in Nittany, Centre, and Huntington counties in Pennsylvania. Tom Katancik, Nittany Beverage’s General Manager, accepted the award on behalf of the wholesaler.
