If you would like to use the PW PBS network’s developed Staff Survey that is created through google, please contact Aimee Newswanger at [email protected]

Example of a way to promote staff buy-in and give staff a voice around implementation: PBS question/suggestion box

Want to acknowledge staff for their implementation of PBIS. This will help maintain staff buy-in. It creates a positive culture of PBIS. It makes Program Wide (PW) PBIS unique. As you facilitate this team, how are you going to address staff buy-in?

MONDAY:

Aimee shared the survey she created for programs to use. They need to email Aimee to ask for the link. They will be able to check their own program’s questions and responses. This one question is all you need for a quick staff buy in survey.

Questions from the group:

Catrina-feels need more staff buy-in for PBIS. Staff feel overwhelmed and are not making PBIS their priority.

Julia spoke about CLT meetings and staff surveys to determine who could be the “cheerleader” to begin the process of PBIS.

Dana-concerns with staff buy-in. Used “well done” to acknowledge staff for implementing PBIS/giving the “bees.” The bees are used as tangibles to reinforce children following the expectations in the program/class.

Suggestions from Julia provided for ways to provide incentives and motivation for staff. (i.e. which class gave each child a bee at the end of the day).—take back to CLT. Topics for discussion: Notes from Discussion
