Homecoming Activities
Homecoming: (noun) 1. the act of coming home 2. (Education) an annual celebration held by a university, college, or school, for former students to be welcomed home
This week, we will be celebrating and participating in the following activities. Each class is designated a specific color to wear for the night events. 9th – red; 10th – white; 11th – yellow; 12th black
SUNDAY: Wall decorating from 2:00 – 5:00 – sponsor(s) must be present.
MONDAY: Jersey Day (Dress wearing your favorite college or NFL team’s clothes/Jersey. Proper jeans may be worn this day. Full shoes) Wall decorating from 4:00 – 7:00 – sponsor(s) must be present Monday Night Football – Flag Football at 7:00 at the stadium
TUESDAY: Twin Day Wall decorating from 4:00 – 7:00 – sponsor(s) must be present
WEDNESDAY: Wacky Wednesday: dress crazy! (Different socks, shoes, crazy colors, etc.) Last night for Wall Decorating from 4:00 - 7:00 – sponsor(s) must be present Wacky Olympics beginning at 7:00 at the stadium – 8:30
THURSDAY: Class Spirit Day (Wear your class shirt – jeans and full shoes) Wall judging that day by impartial judges Parade participants line up at 3:15 in the parking lot - in line by 3:30; Parade at 4:00 Chili Supper begins at 5:00 with Pep Rally at 6:30 and bonfire following Senior Presentation of flowers at 6:20
FRIDAY: Totally Black and Gold Day Senior Voting for Queen and King during 1st block Berwick High School vs. KIPP (7:00 p.m.) Court Announcements at the half with the crowning of the queen
SATURDAY: COURT Presentation at 8:30 HOMECOMING DANCE beginning after the presentation. Doors close at 10:00 - reopen at 11:15. This is a formal affair. Please look at the student handbook for dress code.
Reminders: BHS does not tolerate hazing. Any student found guilty of hazing will be punished. Also, toilet papering is not a school-sanctioned activity. Trash, small pieces of paper and other items placed in one’s yard is vandalism. Please be aware that many members of our community are not tolerant of this behavior. This is a time to have fun and celebrate our school spirit. Play smart and be good!
