Minutes of the E.O.M. (to organise the BAR Booklet Launch), held at 7pm on Monday 19th August 2013 in Bardney Methodist Hall.

Present: Elected Committee: R Knight, K Ruane, D Miles, C. Wilson and P Rennie Members: Apologies: K. Walker, J. Benton and D Letts BHG Mrs Kim Walker (Secretary) 4, Queen Street Bardney Lincoln LN3 5XF Date Rod had confirmed that Barry and Lynn could accommodate the numbers and therefore the date was set as Saturday 19th October from 3pm to 7pm at Bardney Heritage Centre.

Catering It was agreed to cater for 100 at £10 per head, inclusive of wine. £100 would be allocated for 20 bottles of wine (12 red, 4 white and 4 Rose). £900 allocated for food and soft drinks. Booklets Dave Miles would confirm the date with Denise to get the booklets ready for then. Irene had agreed to sell extra copies in the Post Office and Barry had agreed to sell some at The Heritage Centre.

Invite The format for the invitations (to be sent out predominantly by e-mail) was suggested as follows:-

The Chairman and members of Bardney Heritage Group would like to invite you to the launch of the booklet ‘Diary of a Community Dig’, which is the culmination of the Bardney Abbey Revealed project. This will be held at Bardney Heritage Centre on Saturday 19th October 2013 at 3pm. Refreshments will be provided. R.S.V.P. to Kim Walker (address and e-mail address) by Saturday 14th September.

This wording had not been finalised and invites would not be sent out until all had received confirmation from the chairman.

Publicity Press release to the newspapers (Lincolnshire Echo and Horncastle News), radio stations (Lincs FM and Radio Lincs) and TV (Look North and Calendar) nearer the day. To be discussed at the next meeting.

AOB Denise would be e-mailing the cost of 1000 copies of the back page of the booklet.
