MIDDLESEX COUNTY AMATEUR SWIMMING ASSOCIATION SPRING DEVELOPMENT MEET 2014 Inclusive of Multi Classification Events At Southbury Road, Enfield, 12th, 13th, and 26th April 2014 Licensed by the ASA at Level 3 under no: 3LR4479 & 3LR4480

Conditions 1. This gala will take place at the Southbury Road, Enfield and is licensed by the ASA at Level 3 under Licence number 3LR4479 & 3LR4480. It will run short course (25m) in accordance with A.S.A. Laws and FINA Technical Rules of Swimming and the rules and conditions of this competition. 2. A time standard table is attached. The meet is being run as a Level 3 Gala. Swimmers entering this Meet are expected to enter their current best times and must NOT enter faster times than the upper limit as shown in the time standard table. These Development Meets are designed for swimmers whose entry times did not meet the qualifying standards for the County BAGCAT & Youths Competition. 3. All events are Heat Declared Winner. Ages will be combined for swimming the events but results will be declared for each single year age. Awards will be given to the top three swimmers in all age band events with rosettes to those placed 4th to 8th. Swimmers exceeding the relevant qualifying time will not be placed in the event but instead be awarded a speeding ticket..Multi Classification Events will be awarded 1st – 3rd places with rosettes to those placed 4th to 8th regardless of classification calculated on British Disability Points. (Points are awarded to each swimmer in relation to how close they are to their classification world record in each event respectively). 4. If a club is entering less than 10 swimmers, entries may be made on the forms provided (photocopies will be accepted); all information must be legible (block caps please). Incomplete, illegible entries or those without the correct entry fees will not be accepted. Hard copies of entries along with the summary form, and cheque to be sent to: Mrs Leah Pullen, 16 Amherst Road, Ealing, London W13 8ND. Only one cheque per club will be accepted. Clubs entering more than 10 swimmers MUST download the Hy-Tek Team Manager file from www.middlesexswimming.com/Fixtures and return the entry file to [email protected]. Please note that if a Club enters more than 10 swimmers by means of entry forms rather than Hy-Tek Manager Event File, these entries will incur an administration fee of £10.00. 5. For Heath and Safety reason, the promoter reserves the right to limit entries; any entry not accepted will be refunded in full. NO OTHER MONIES WILL BE REFUNDED. 6. Entries may be held on a computer solely for the purposes of this competition and consent, as required by the Data Protection Act 1984, to the holding of personal information on computer will be deemed to have been given by the submission of the entry. Personal data will be available for inspection during the Meet on application to the Promoters. 7. All swimmers including those aged 9 must be registered as Category 2 with the ASA and have their cards available should they be required. Multi Classification swimmers must be ASA category 2 registered. 1. This meet will operate as a CARDLESS meet. Please use the withdrawal forms enclosed with the pack to withdraw any swimmers, on the day any withdrawals must be made 45 minutes before the start of each session. Failure to withdraw in adequate time will result to the club being fined £5 per swimmer per event unless there are mitigating circumstances. Should a swimmer be withdrawn by mistake, the swimmer shall be allowed to swim in unallocated lanes in the earlier heats in the same event if available. All fines are to be levied on the swimmer’s club. The fine shall be reduced by 50% if paid within 28 days. 8. The pool will be cleared 10 minutes before the start of the session. 9. Ages are to be calculated as at 26th April 2014. 10. Where possible entries must be accompanied with an ASA ID (registration) no. Any entries not accompanied by the ASA ID will not have their times submitted to ASA Ranking. Times achieved will not be eligible as qualifying times for Nationals but may be used for County & Region competitions. The events will be: 50m, 200m, all strokes, 100m IM & 200m IM for boys and girls aged 9/o 100m all 4 strokes for boys 12/o and girls aged 11/o 400m freestyle boys & girls aged 10/o 400m IM for boys & girls aged 11/o 800m freestyle for girls aged 11/o and 1500m freestyle for boys aged 12/o Multi-Classification events will be Freestyle 50m, 100m Classification 2 - 14 Freestyle 200m Classification 2 – 5 and 14 Breaststroke 100m Classification 4 - 14 Backstroke 100m Classification 6 - 14 Butterfly 100m Classification 8 - 14 Individual Medley 200m Classification 5 - 14

11. For Multi-Classification entries, entries needs to be sent to the competition secretary for manual entering. Please refer to the multi classification entry time. Any Multi Classification events with less than 4 entries may be merged into the relevant Able Bodied events. Personal care attendants will only be permitted for swimmers in the following classes: S1, S2, S3, S4, S5 and S11. A swimmer in any of these classes may have both a coach and a personal care attendant present. 12. Any conditions not covered in the competition rules will be dealt with in accordance with the laws of the sport and at the discretion of the Promoter.
